We have a hard time getting more than 4-6 people playing here in the Phoenix area, and yet every store I call except one had sold out of the Deathknights and Crossbowmen except one, and even then I only managed to get one of each. How has demand been in your area?

I can't get FLGS to reliably stock them - so I ordered from amazon.

But I did check - FLGS #1 had none in stock release day.

I'm trying to setup a "demo Day" with armies at FLGS #1 to generate interest.

I see stock moving, and decent preorders, but can't find the damned players currently ?

I always call my FLGS ahead of ordering and let them know what I'm getting. For example, my FLGS knows I'm getting 2 Uthuk and a command as soon as they release. So he orders that on top of what he would order, knowing I'm going to be purchasing them.

The thing is people want more of these packs than others since they're not a 1-of pack like heroes and they don't already have the units like they do for the core units. I don't think most game stores anticipated the numbers needed for even a small number of players. My lgs only got 3 crossbow boxes and 2 death knight boxes. ... that was almost enough to cover what I had planned to buy not to even mention the other players.

Game stores need to order more stock for new unit boxes.

I’ve noticed two stores ordering a bit less of the new stuff - maybe one of each box. I think they’re having a hard time gauging overall interest per faction.

I hit one store and felt alittle bad that I bought their only two copies of DK. Meanwhile they still had multiple copies of first expansion wave stuff. It’s likely they’re not gonna be in a hurry to replace the DK I bought, but I’ll get a chance to see when I stop by there this weekend.

I would never feel bad about clearing out inventory on store shelves. They love you for it

Yeah, there was a store here already selling first wave stuff at 50% off because the demand wasn't what they thought it would be.

I think people are right about the amount of product to purchase for these units. People are buying 3 boxes of their respective army it seems. Most of the other expansions were not that heavily purchased (sans maybe Oathsworn Cavalry). Most local game stores barely carry much RW product, so it's not surprising to see them flounder a bit on this.

Yeah they could be 1/2 the size and stores would love them for it.

Board game bliss has a good 5+ of each last I was there. Generally a favourable place for US. Top notch in Canada.

I just ordered two from the :). Great for Canadians.

I'll agree on not having any local flgs stock runewars currently (we are working on it) but online stock seems decent enough over in the UK
