I've poked around a bit and not seen an answer to this. Sorry if it's already been answered a thousand times!
I understand that Evade tokens are resolved immediately during the Spend Defence Tokens step, and that a player may resolve any of his own effects in the order of his choosing.
Does this mean that one may spend an Evade to force an attack die to be re-rolled and then wait to see the results of the re-roll before deciding which, if any, other defence tokens to spend on that attack, or must he declare all of his defence token expenditures simultaneously?
Example: I roll two red dice, which turn up hit and double hit. Might my opponent spend an Evade to make me re-roll the double hit and then wait to see what the result of the re-roll is before deciding whether to also spend a Brace? In this case, if I re-roll into a blank, he saves the Brace, but if I roll another double hit, he then spends the Brace as well. Or, must he declare that he is spending the Evade and the Brace. In this case, if I re-roll into a blank he has wasted the Brace, but if I roll another double hit, then he's glad he spent the Brace.
Thanks!
