Planned nights fail in many ways because scum can plan accordingly to their best chances, like here, let's take for the sake of the example that Mad is scum, he is totally out of the plan, he can try to kill the people where he knows there will be a death, for example he already ruled Ninja out, and then you have a slim chance only of picking the same target as him

And besides, scanning me is just a waste of time, though obviously you won't agree.

Toad, I am not saying you're scum, I just said it was interesting and gave us something to work with. If I was scum, I would've definitely night killed you since you claimed a role. The fact that you're saying you're a body guard and didn't die helps us puzzle stuff out.

If you're telling the truth, this makes me think you were probably protected, because I fail to believe scum just wouldn't nightkill, unless we're dealing with something new.

Vis I shall give the benefit of the doubt. He is the only protective role who claimed and could have prevented a kill and live to tell about it, so I have to assume that his action worked, one way or the other. Which means that either Cal is the target, or the killer.

We are 7. I know I am clear, Pod/Toad/Vis oughtn't be lynched today, which clears 4/7 from the lynch-list for this day.

Of those 3, it's Cal, Mad, and CNinja. I do not know whom to trust of those three. Mad is arguing strongly for the lynch of Cal. If Mad is scum, and Cal is not, that's the death sentence for Mad. So I have to assume that either Mad is town, or they are both scum and Mad is taking the opportunity to gain some town cred. Either way, it implies that Cal is scum, and that thus we are better off lynching him. I just don't like Mad's disregard for your input.

I disregarded ninja because i believe its scum 2 trying to muddy the waters.

If we go through with my plan and the kill still goes through then we’ll know it was Mad, we’ll know what nips is by way of Pod’s check and we’ll know Ninja is clear cause he was locked up

If Cal flips town we’ll still know what nips is by way of Pod,Ninja will still be locked up and if the kill goes through we’ll know it’s Mad

the way I see it either Pod or Vis is getting targeted and I got a 50/50 shot of picking right

and right now that’s the best we got

Okay, just caught up, and now the role block thing makes sense, I was still thinking of a regular doc.. Sorry about the long delay, and I totally get why that seems scummy. I initially didn't think Toad was scum, but the more defensive he gets the more I am thinking he might be. That said, Toad tends to backlash when accused, so it could just be Toad being town. I also don't think it's likely that there's a body guard, a cop, and a jailkeeper, unless we have some uber scum, so one of those three is probably lying.

I know that my absence has likely sealed my fate, and fair enough. But after I flip town, I think you should all look very hard at the three claims, and figure out which one is full of it. If I had to lay down a vote, I'd go Toad due to his strong counter accusation to my observation, but it could be any three of them.

Bodyguard and jailkeeper make a lot of sense tho, balance wise. They cant protect each other, bodyguard cant successfully protect someone without dying, and jailkeeper cant protect cop without canceling his ability.

Plus, hes a flavor cop. Not actually a strong role.

Doesn't that still seem like too many roles, though? It does to me, but again playing the meta game can be dangerous. I guess you're right, not nearly as bad as, say, a doc and a jailkeeper.

Assuming you're town, why would you not protect the jailkeeper? He is for sure going to get targeted by a scum kill.

Thing is I won't be able to say anything if I die.

meantime we need to figure out a plan based off the others, I'm not 100% on vis, even if he dies overnight his alleged role block goes through. I will need more proof at this point.

Every time I play scum, town does exactly what happened in this game, which is claim way too early. But it actually winds up scaring me, because each time I’m sitting there like “oh ****, if they just work together they have this **** on lock” and I say things like “if we believe X” and “does this actually work” because I want to get town to examine anything but the super easy path to victory they just laid out.

So, I don't know if I would get a notification or not, since I have no role, but I didn't get notice that I was jailed. However, the fact that no one else died means I am inclined to believe Vis, unless scum is cult, but with all the protection in place I would believe scum is more kill focused. Assuming this, the fact that town has a jailkeeper also makes me think scum does in fact have a decent role.

I want to think more on this and do some more looking. In case I am suddenly turboed, I just wanted to say if I get lynched and Vis gets nightkilled, we need to lynch Toad. His remark about randomly selecting a target is troubling, especially since Vis' role is the most valuable.

lets look at what I’ve done this game:

i stuck my neck out, being loose with my ability to draw scums attention

I pointed out the precarious Lylo situation town would have been in had we mis-lynched D1

I then got us to go with a no-lynch to avoid the Lylo

My role has been confirmed by another player

all of this and I still have to defend my self against a guy who has done nothing but get roleblocked and claimed Vanilla

yea I’m a bit peeved

why do we do this every game Cal?

All bull-**** aside, either Cal is the scum and he got blocked by Vis or he’s town and got protected right now he’s the best lynch candidate IMO
