Airbrush and Varnish

By Basylle, in Imperial Assault Painting and Modification

I'm thinking of getting an airbrush and wondering what people are doing for finishing their figures. Unfortunately, I'm not able to use a spray can for priming and finishing because of the weather where I live and no good space for it.

I've only found a couple of videos on YouTube and several of the products that are in the videos I can't find. I figure someone is doing it, so hopefully someone can help me out here.

Thanks in advance.

Here is the airbrush I purchased for doing priming and airbrush varnish. I also have a Iwata that I purchased from hobby lobby for doing zenithal highlighting on figures. The Iwata is a .35mm nozzle. The one from amazon .5mm that I use with the badger stynylrez airbrush primer. Hope that helps.

What are you using for the varnish? Are you mixing it with anything else?

I am using vallejo matt varnish and then using a brush with the gloss if they need it. I thin it with vallejo airbrush thinner.

Sorry forgot to tell you. If you live here in the States. Hobby lobby is a good place to get the Iwata Neo. They have a 40% off coupon which will make it around 46 bucks. That is the one I mentioned above.
