MPC just added US mini cards to their store, i'm going to give them a go again, I think it might be bang on the right size.

Hah, so I just loaded up a new "project" in MPC to set up a deck of errata cards to check out and it's telling me "low resolution" for the images. Looked at the min resolution they give, then loaded up one of the images to see the resolution of the files. They're apparently 1 pixel short vertically :P

well darn. lol.

I'm in the middle of updating the cards for the FAQ, you may wish to wait a couple days if you would like the card backs plus the new adjustments, just haven't had too much time the last few weeks from work to cover them!

Good to know actually, I'll try adjusting with their new template, as those kind of errors are always irritating. Making files 'print ready' for professional printing is always more setup than people realize!

Yah I definitely plan to wait for the new cards from the latest FAQ, just figured I'd start setting it up with the existing ones from previous FAQs since I want those as well. The 1 px probably won't really matter for print quality, but if you update them to match the template size I'll definitely use those versions instead :)

Nah, 1 pixel short is perfect, that's super easy to adjust, even simply adding a black line works or using photoshop's content aware fill and you are good. :)
Anything bigger starts to get messy ^_^

haha yea. I've got it down for a saturday project so I'll see what I can do about getting it done by Monday. :)

Hey! citruscannon thanks for all the work on these cards, they are great.

I'm looking into getting these printed on MPC. Using US Mini Game Size, every card has a lot of the image outside of the 'safe zone'.

Anyone have any experience printing with this service? how likely is it these cards will be printed/cut correctly? I'd hate to order a bunch and have big chunks missing from each card.

Haven't assessed the new sizing but will do so, I'll look into this

Which images are you using? You should be using the “full bleed” images, which expand beyond what’s actually printed on the card.

I was using the full bleed images and the template that MPC provides. The cards are just the wrong size, I resized/remade them all including the newly errata'd cards and have ordered them!

Postage looks like its gonna be a while though.

Biggest problem I had was making everything fit within the 'safe zone'. They say 36 pixels on each side but when uploaded even the safe zone on their supplied template doesn't match.

And the US mini size? It looked right for me when I was loading them in (other than the 1 pixel short for the height)

Edit: the issue is probably that if you want it to match ffg's stuff, some of the important bits will bleed over past the "safe" box. Its not that those are will definitely cut off, but it's possible. Similar to how ffg's cardsnare occasionally off

Your work looks excellent, any idea when you might be uploading the new versions?

Any chance you'll be able to update the Biggs pilot card while your at it? ? Something I can just print at home to put in the sleeve with the original card

Resurrecting this thread, after the latest FAQ stuff ...

Back in October 2017, you were hoping to update your errata card collection to include changes to that point. I visit your web site regularly, and have seen no updates.

I am curious if you continue to work on these cards, and if updates will be coming.

Thank you for all of your efforts. You do good work.

Hi there!

Yep, it's one of a large number of other things I've been involved with, just haven't gotten back to it, and I'd waited long enough I figured I could wait out for the new FAQ.

Turning the cards into full art takes a good chunk of time, and I have been dedicated to other projects (X-Wing Supremacy, Autosketches, and Contract Work) since then!

Thanks for the headsup though, if I get some time free this week I'll have a crack at updating the lot of them to the new FAQ :)
