I just watched both batreps. Awesome!
Do you think losing Sunny in exchange of 4 Autothursters is worth the trade? Thinking about TLTs here...

The vipers do a lot of fighting at R 1-2. So I don't get to use them all that much. On the approach, at least 1 guy tends to reach R2. And the opponent will simply shoot him instead of the thrustered targets. Also, Sunny's ability makes him ALMOST a 3 atk ship. On top of that, I get one more blocker.
If you are dead set on thrusters, you can run 3 x enforcers with mkii and thruster and There with mkii and thrusters and have a 1pt bid.

Gonna debut at Campaign against cancer!

Sweet! Any chance of getting some bat reps?

Sleep now. Batreps tomorrow.
This turned it to be a bit longer than expected. I'll write the other games up as time permits.
Game 1: Triple Gunboats (2x Rho Sqd with Deadeye, Harpoons Scramblers, Adv Slam Os-1 Title and Lt Karasabi with Adaptabiltiy, Mangler, Linked battery, xg-1 title, adv slam, and ion pulse missiles)
Harpoons meant I needed to spread out vs this formation to prevent splash damage. I deployed Center board. My opponent counter deployed in his right corner. I shot out the gate at full tilt towards the corner. I wanted to push the engagement to range 1-2 . The vipers left sunny behind (Sonny would get to the fight on the second round of combat). On the first round of combat I was only able to get to R1 with one of the vipers, but I still was able to get them spread out so that none of them were within R1 of another viper. I lucked out a bit here as my opponent used target locks to launcher his missiles instead of deadeye and target locked 2 different starvipers. He doesn't manage to kill any of the star vipers, but I drew a blinded pilot on one of the vipers. I only do 3 Shield damage to one of the rho-boats in exchange.
Following the opening engagement, I sloop the lead viper behind his formation and bank+bank roll 2 vipers into the left and right of his formation facing inward. the rear viper places himself in front of the formation and sunny joins the fight. I score blocks on both rho-boats but Lt karasabi completes his maneuver safely and tokens up to keep fighting. I loose a viper to a PS kill by mangler cannon (Its harpoon detonates to help the kill and strips a shield from sunny and one of the healthy starvipers. The harpoon also hits karasabi and 1 rho-boat) The dice don't treat me overly well here I only earn a couple shields off of Karasabi and another hull off of the previously wounded rho-boat.
The next round one of the rho-boats escapes the block fest and reloads. The other rho-boat catches another block and karasabi gets blocked, but still has a shot on sunny. I've got 1 viper behind his formation with 2 gettng blocks having a shot on the other boat still in the scrum. Karasabi kills Sunny and I stat getting into karasabi's hull and start work on the shields of the boat that was blocked.
At this point I don't have enough forces in front of the boats to set up a block (or more importantly, still be able to do effective damage if I get the block). The boat that slipped out of the fight last round is about to come back in with a slam maneuver (with Adv Slam and The title, it can fire missiles after slamming if it gets a target lock, which it can with PS advantage). My viper that was behind the other 2 boats pulls hard 1 plus bankroll back to place himself behind his starting position facing where the boat will have to be if he tries to slam in and get a missile. The other 2 vipers I send south to escape missile range for the boat coming back into the fight and get some shots on the 2 other boats as they escape. As expected Karasabi and the wingman that stayed in the fight with him pull 3-speed moves with slams to reposition (the rho-boat reloads). The boat with a hot missile slams in trying to get range on the 2 southern vipers but falls short, landing in R1 of the viper that I turned around. The viper on the north end of the board kills the boat that it jousted. Karasabi takes no damage and i only win the last shield from the remaining rho-boat.
The wide turning radius of the hard turn + slam hard turn means i can use my bank rolls to shoot to the side if where he needs to be to get his arc back in the fight. My viper following the rho-boat does this. the viper that turned back to kill the other rho does another hard turn and focus (i don't want to press into harpoon range onto the rho-boat coming back into the fight this viper only had 2 health) The viper chasing karasabi turns his gun the the rho-boat with the missile with his buddy and takes a focus (with full health on this 1 I hope to survive the incoming missile. Karasabi lines up a shot n the wounded viper, but does no damage. The rho-boat lands a missile into the healthy viper, but only gets a shield and 2 cards on me. My return fire gets karasabi down to 3 hull and the rho down to 2 hull.(including a damaged cockpit crit).
As the clock is nearing time he tries to get out with his 2 boats (he is up on points) but with the damaged cockpit on the rho i'm able to get all 3 guns on target. Lt karasabi isn't able to get a shot and my opponents green dice pick this moment to betray him (I had enough firepower to expect a kill on the rho even if karasabi picked off a viper, but I end up killing both boats just as time is called.
Battle 2 was a good one.
Game 2:
Kylo Ren in silencer (Auto-thrusters, Adv Optics, FO Vanguard, Adv Sensors, Push The limit)
Quickdraw (Adv Optics, Veteran Instincts, LWF, Spec Ops training, FCS)
Epsilon Ace
A good list, lots of high PS. I didn't want to have an endgame trying to chase down kylo, but I couldn't afford to send my list chasing Kylo and let quickdraw go to work on my star vipers. My game-plan is to go take Quickdraw off the table first. Then hunt Kylo and settle for Epsilon Ace as a target of opportunity.
Set up resulted in a dense cluster of rocks in the upper left corner of the map (during setup with this list I want to try to keep at least one of my corners fairly open). I deploy center as usual with sonny on the right side of the block of star vipers. Kylo deploys on my left flank. Quickdraw and Epsilon Ace are set to proceed through the rock cluster. My opening moves are hard 1 right boost forward 1 for ths star vipers. Sonny does 3 bank right and barrel rolls to be near the board edge at a 45 degree angle. Kylo blasts down the left side of the board and picks up his focus. QD and Epsilon slow boat through the rocks.
My next turn sonny does a hard 2 and barrel roll to stay along the board edge. The vipers pull 3 bank left followed by banked forward barrel roll right (I've moved maybe 1.5 bases forward from starting position and am in my right hand corner of the board with sunny just in front of the block of vipers. QD reaches the bottom third of the table and starts to the right side. QD and epsilon are still doing their slow boat impression (by this time its obvious my opponent wants me to meet him in the rocks. I want to meet him as he is exiting the rocks so I have room to maneuver)
Turn 3 sees the vipers 1 bank left followed by banked forwards barrel roll right (the brick of vipers is now alongside my left board edge facing to the right, even with kylo) Sonny does 1 bank left and rolls to her right and up the board back towards the right side of the board (sonny is about R2 north of the vipers about 1.5 bases from the board edge facing the left side of the board). Kylo decides that jousting the star viper brick that is now facing him with QD and epsilon being 2 turns behind is a bad move, Kylo re-orients into the rock cluster to meet up with his support. QD and epsilon keep drifting slowly through the rocks. The position of QD and Epsilon at this point will force him to have to go around a large rock before pointing at my swarm.
At this point I decide to stay on QD, but I need stay slow enough that my arcs will keep kylo running. If I press hard vs QD kylo can punish by using adv sensors to dump a conservative maneuver into my The vipers do 1 forward plus focus. Sonny does 1 bank right plus focus. (Sonny's position is such that a fast move from QD can get her in range. Sure enough the slow moves from the viper encourage kylo to keep moving (he had a 2 straight dialed in, if I had moved aggresively with the vipers my opponent could have bank boosted and rolled to drop him just outside my arcs). Kylo lands just outside of range of my vipers. QD and Epsilon maneuver around the rock. they way they are lined up they won't be able to shoot at the vipers next turn, but will have Sonny in their sights.
For Turn 5 combat is imminent, but that same rock that my QD is working his way around means i can't pounce yet. The vipers 1 bank right and take focus. Sonny banks 1 left and focuses as well. Sonny is now about 1.5-1.75 bases behind an asteroid. facing even with QD. Kylo decides he does not want to be a part of the opening fight with QD full in the mix as of yet. He takes boost plus target lock on the lead star viper and 5 straights into my upper right corner skimming just out of range of the star vipers. QD and epsilon line up at R3 from Sonny. Sonny survives both shots and risks an R3 back at QD (I figure with 5 dice defense I could trade a shield with QD, but the attack misses). Only 2 of my star vipers are in range 3 (obstructed too). I deal no damage.
This turn is where things will start to get bloody. QD's position is such that if he turns in to face me he will get blocked and shredded by 4 star vipers. I figure he is most likely to keep on Sonny. My vipers 1 bank right again and focus. Sonny hard 1 to the north end of the board where kylo ran off and takes focus. Kylo switches his lock to sonny and executes a 4 k landing at R2 of sonny. QD pulls a beautiful sloop left that puts him within milimeters of sonny and still facing the vipers at R2-3 behind a rock (no rock relative to sunny). Epsilon pulls a 3 bank around the rock we've been circling and barrel rolls out of arc of the entire swarm. My opponent played this position well, but I have QD in my sights and QD will have to turn away and use his back arc (and stay stressed), clear stress and not have a shot, or drive over the rock to joust the swarm. We exchange fire, QD and Kylo shred Sonny before she can shoot. Epsilon gets lucky and pulls a shield and focus token off of one of the vipers. The vipers unload on QD taking his shields. QD's return shot misses.
With QD in my sights with no where to run, my vipers press forward 1 again and take focus. QD throws a 3 bank towards the swarm (no damage from the rock) and bumps the lead viper. Epsilon tries to hard 2 left, but hits the back right viper (i think he expected me to move faster), but still has a shot on the front right viper. Kylo bank 3 and clears stress, he takes a lock on my right front viper and regains his focus (he spent it killing sonny). Kylo and epsilon blast my front fight viper down to 2 hull left, but QD didn't have arc to finish the job. He scrapes a shield from the back left viper. 2 vipers burn down QD. 1 viper nabs a shield from Kylo.
The vipers all hard 1 right towards where kylo will have to land. 3 take focus and I bank roll the wounded viper to the right to block the 4+5 straight in case kylo decides to rabbit. Kylo went for the 2 bank (i'm not sure why he dialed this move. Epsilon surges forward and hits the same viper.
kylo takes a shot into the wounded viper, but has no target lock and won't spend the focus, so no damage is pushed through. Despite the block at range 1, I only win 1 shield off of Kylo.
My vipers break up at this point so things get a bit hectic from here. I flip the wounded viper around and have him hang back. The other 3 vipers mob the remaining epsilon ace. I spend the next 2 turns cornering and killing the Tie fighter. Kylo's escape through the rocks means he isn't able to get back in the fight until the dust settles in the corner. The vipers all re-rack face in on Kylo. Kylo isn't able to get in close enough to re-engage without getting flattened by the swarm before time is called. We get 1 more pass on each other scoring insignificant damage on each other. The game ends with him scoring 12 points to my 53.
For the record you don't have to post detailed play by plays of all your games. Just a brief summary of how the game went with some highlights thrown in would be plenty.
That being said, I am enjoying the batreps. Keep them coming please! ![]()

Yeah! We need game 3 ![]()
Update:. I managed to take 1st at a 19 Person store championship with this list.
Notable opponents included Rey/Lowrick, Fenn/Talon/Thweek (had to face this guy twice back to back) and a QD/ Double Silencer list.
The previous week I got second at a different store champ (14 person). I beat out a 100pt Miranda list, but got stopped cold by a Ketsu/Assaj passive mods list.

It was better for the narrative that 5 arc bound ships beat the fat turret to win the day.

Hey! I try using my arc! I also work very hard for those mods!
