I'm doing a contest on my website - winner will get a Legion Core Set in the form of a gift card for miniature market (Or you can use it for whatever you want I'm not a micro-manager). Painting submissions can be for any game - Armada, X-Wing, Imperial Assault... as long as it's FFG.
That's pretty rad. Might have to submit something, not that I hold a candle to some of the guys on the board.
I dig it. For those of us with bandwidth challenges, could you please post a brief summary of any rules? I’ll watch it later.

Can it be a custom model we use for an FFG game or does it have to be an FFG product that we paint? Thanks for the contest!

Sweet idea! I will take a look at what FFG things I have in the pipeline. For this I may need to pick up something new! I have an idea that I have been wanting to try for a while. I may finally be picking up that third Liberty!

Well, it's not like I'm forcing the winner to spend the gift card on Legion specifically, you could always get stuff for another game.

An additional question: If I wanted to submit, say, an MC80 Command with its attendant fighter cover, would I need to specify that you're only considering the MC80 for the contest or would you consider the MC80 & squadrons as one unit?

I'd suggest doing individual photos in addition to a group photo. This way in case one of them ends up in the finals, it'll be easier to showcase it.

That would get you the award for most masochistic painter, @Drasnighta lol. I painted one of those stormtroopers and nearly lost my mind hahaha. I might take it on one day but right now I’m working on a nativity scene from my childhood that I want to complete before Christmas.

Based on entries so far I would say previously painted are OK. I have a brand new mini on my painting table that I will be doing though. I just don't have many FFG models that I have painted and would want to enter.

Pretty sure the rules are it has to be an FFG product, which is why i haven't entered yet.
It's just FFG Stuff, but you can still post Shapeways stuff and get entered for the doorprize... just can't win the grand prize that way.
