Discord based jedi war campaign

By TheShard, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

I think its fine for now. I'll probably try using imperial assault tiles for now :) There's a few Jedi miniatures in there. And we can use stickers to identify players etc. The miniatures aren't coloured, but whatever. I think we're a fair bit away from needing the tiles anyway. It's more a visual display so we don't need to be confused.

Anyone else wondering what they're gonna do with the online portion of their games? Hope they implement RPG online stuff, that'd be great.

Yup forget mine. I was just puttimg it up to answer theposting question and to get the ball rolling. But you got one up so lets go with that!

So my proposal is to have a set voice day. Then in between those scheduled days people can post and if they need a gm answer you get to it when you can.

I know, hold on. Lemme link it tomorrow, so at least it stays up longer than my bed time, lol. Just got back from Justice league...

My problem with d20 is the sci-fi tiles. Lets worry about that a little later.

Ok

I have good tiles

Still technically world building, but considering what was originally proposed, "High level padawans," I'm building around that. That being said, I'm not going to prevent you from choosing a soldier if that is what you would want to do; but it might be difficult to integrate them, so some extra planning might be involved.

Anyway, I'm working today, and tomorrow, but I'll be able to world build a bit more once I get home. Basically what I'm doing now is laying down a story foundation (era, time frame, etc.), characters (npc's mostly), and difficulty. As I've said before, I like to make a game a little more challenging than a base game, wether that be adding extra minions, giving them more HP, or giving less XP. I intend to make it a steep hill, not a mountain.

Lets say KOTOR is about 1000 years before Episode 1, so I'm planning on the timeline being a few hundred years after KOTOR, which I believe gives us free reign on a story. I'll be posting this on the OG thread also

P.S. Since I've already got the name of the campaign you can tell I have an idea for the world and story. Sorry for being silent, I'm working a lot for my Japan Vacation. But we will start something before I leave, just a game zero kind of. No spoilers, but I'm thinking it might be your (for the jedi players) knighting.

Ok, thanks for that clarification. In that case, I'm thinking a Shien Expert/Sentry. Lol. ☺

Just making sure we're all collected in the discord chat. Is Edgehawk able to join? If we're ready to go, I'm ready to start posting the opening crawl tomorrow.

I can pretty much always find a few minutes for a pbp, but I don't think I can commit a slot of time for the live play sessions.

Since the entire premise for this particular campaign concept involves hybrid play, I assumed I should probably leave it to those who were available for such a game.

If the invitation stands, for a strictly pbp participant, I'd be happy to join- I just don't want to detract from the idea behind this game.

Same as @Edgehawk here, but I may be able to find time for the live aspect. However, I haven't heard from anyone when that will occur. I work M-F 7-4 Central.

I guess it mostly depends on what everyone else wants, lol.

I prefer voice as pbp loses momentum REALLY fast. I dont mind a little pbp but i get bored with it quick due to slowness

Is everyone on the discord server?
