Speak of the Devil and he will come... Just saying...
Since you mentioned our names I hope this is an Invite? @Edgehawk and I are a team now ya know.
I'm Game if she is! And YES, I wanna be a Jedi!!!!! ![]()
Discord based jedi war campaign
I was using you two as examples for why pbp can be superior to voice for rp
Awwww, Thanks for the shining example!
This sounds like a fun concept for a Campaign.
Well, it's been a few days since my surgery and I seem to be doing alright. Wasn't expecting the sutures under my tongue, but whatever. Just makes it a little more difficult to stick it out for the excersises I need to do. But anyway...
Let me do some world building. Since KOTOR is roughly 1000 years before, I think I can fit something in between that time. Now, since you're wanting to do this in a hybrid system using text and vc, how do you suppose to do the text? We all have to be on discord at the same time to do it, or we post somewhere and someone answers when they have the time?
I agree that you can get some more flavour with text, but I also agree that it depends on the players. Take a look at Critical Role for examples. Depends on how you RP really. But hey, gives me a chance to not fumble over my words while I try and think of the exact word I'm looking for, lol. Anyway, I'll make a RP server on discord in a few minutes and I'll post the info.
Alright I made a server
Still world building a bit, gimme some time ![]()
ok, so do we have the opportunity to discuss what kind of Jedi we're all going to be? Also, Orion, your link to the discord page didn't work for me. Can you send it again please?
So what is everyone looking for in the game? As i think this info would be good for the gms world building..
Just noticed Shard put one up, I figured since I was GMing I should host. But I don't wanna be the guy coming in being all bossy.
dunno where that other link is going to
Lightsaber duels... I want Force powers flying around... I want to feel like we're fighting a galactic chess battle
Planet hopping in various environments to beat back the evil foe...
So who are we and we are qe a group?
How did we become a group?
What is our mission?

I see 6 players already; (1) TheShard, (2) Daeglan, (3) Stneu73, (4) OrionUnas, (5) Tweedledope, and (6) HadesHerald
For me, the limit would be about 6/7/8 players. I like to GM/DM games a little harder than intended
So the more players is probably better. I'm fine if you're new to RPin, I'm not going to close the doors on new RPers, gotta start somewhere.
I think an indiana jones start discovering nazis er Sith. Needing to defeat the resurgence or something.
Lemme know if you need help setup up a dice bot
whats better for you guys, online maps, or me setting things up on my table and having a video call?
i seem to have it done SkyJedi... I think? lol.
I like roll20 for maps. Makes it easier to see what is what. No need for grids. Theater of the mind is fine for a lot of stuff. But i lijke maps for combat

You'll be the first to know, lol. Is there any settings for it? Or is it as is?
Like I previously said, I do have Imperial Assault and tiles, so it would be just about the same. I downloaded roll20 a while ago, I guess I should check it out again.
Or at least there was one that I downloaded, not sure if that is it or not.

!help for the commands and an invite for my server. I can answer anything in detail there
Wish I could remember what that program was called. You could create your own tiles, create maps, host a game online, a lot of it was custom. Even had a base star wars FFG dice set. I thought it was called Tile Mapper, Dungeon Tiles, Dungeon Mapper, something something....
Fantasy grounds perhaps..
I don't think so, but it looked similar to this. Perhaps the old program is debunked now, and something else took over.
If it helps i have access to the Chris West library...
