Yeah, but it's pretty much the same thing. If I could get one as a tourney prize it'd be great, but paying money for a literal upgrade to my odds is something I don't want to do.

nope, you can go to the upcoming tab up top and see that new red cores shipped a week or two ago. my local stores has been open for less than a year and this is the first time either of them have been able to get the red OT core set.

dude, they just reprinted them. they went from at the printer to on the boat to shipping now to now in stores all during the last several weeks after being on the awaiting reprint list for several months. they are restocking them for the upcoming movie release and holiday season. they will be everywhere that sells x-wing.

I can confirm the reprint being what is in stores. I've been waiting for the original core set and nobody had them - online or local. Now everyone has them (including me).
If you have access to a color printer and don't mind cutting, folding and sleeving a damage deck. I've been working on custom damage deck art. I'll have to do one sheet per post.. This one is for fans of S&V

After inadvertently playing with a seriously jacked up original damage deck for a while (it had 11 direct hits!) I have gotten into the compulsive habit of counting my damage cards after every game I play. It only takes a minute but it saves you the headache of lost cards. Also before most events I go to (which is quite a few) I make sure not the just the number of cards but the crit types are correct.

Usually the cores sets don't need a reprint every year, so most likely there will be no reprint next year, but the year after ;-)

Normally I would agree, but recently has shown me that you can't count on past trends to remain a constant. But that is what worries me a bit.

I picked up a tfa starter to start up my set at 30, I definitely still need the original core but I’m keep I am keeping an eye on Amazon for a good deal though because I’m on no buy till after Christmas for the most part
