I feel like x7 Deltas are in a pretty good place right now. The only high volume high reliability alpha strike in the game is gone, and they're tough enough to handle lower volume, lower reliability ones. Blocking also looks to be coming back pretty hard, and x7s are great blockers which basically ignore most of the x7 nerf anyway.
Suggested Imperial builds for post-Faq? (any changes to build style?)
Swarm. Why is nobody saying swarm?! Even small flight groups of 5 ships sound pretty good (TIE strikers, anybody?)
But in all seriousness, I have had very good success with two generic TIE/D Deltas with Tractor Beam flying alongside TIE/x7 Maarek Steele with Lone Wolf. The tractor beams make Dengar easier to hit with your Deltas, and can also throw Nym into rocks and stuff, or draw him closer for a) range 1 attacks, and b) room to K-turn behind him. Maarek doesn't care about using Lone Wolf until the end game when the TIE/D's have been destroyed, so you fly him carefully, but with opportunistic shots. If he survives to end game, not only does Lone Wolf activate, but his ability also becomes more scary as most enemy ships have lost shields.
The other option is to give Maarek VI, and upgrade the Deltas to Ion Cannons, which is a pretty good choice, but I've grown disillusioned with VI.
nobody is saying swarm because harpoon missiles are common for their 4die attack alone.

Just have to do the following when flying swarms now. don't fly at range 1. But Imperials do have uphil battle
(re-reading it was damage spike not harpoon effect, leaving Yoda here anyway)

That was my 1st reaction. Been playing with 4x Aggressors since they got released and doing good. It's even better now :-)
edit: not sure yet how good the build is going to be vs harpoons. It's not just Tie Swarms that are threatened by them...

You don't have to fly them close together and it is probably best you don't.

I would face the list in the OP very confidently with three Crack Shot x7s (*). Dengar can be blocked and then shot out of arc. Nym can no longer bumbbomb (more than once) and Dengar doesn't shoot plasma at range 3.
Successful rotation of the most damaged Defender to the least dangerous place is the key to preserving MoV. I would shoot at Nym at every opportunity unless I had Dengar at range 1 out of his arc. Using soft 1 at the right time has surprised opponents time and again.
*) My current go-to list has Vessery, Glaive and Ryad with Adaptability in the place of second Glaive for increased maneuver options, 1 point bid and some stress resistance for example to chase Assaj. My local meta pre-FAQ had didn't have much stress control.
edit: list content above clarified

Have had fantastic results vs Dengar/Nym by including an IMP in my TIE/SF lists.
For example:
Quickdraw: Expertise/FCS/IPM/Title/LWF (40)
Backdraft: VI/FCS//Title/LWF (32)
This leaves you room for Deathfire or Omega + an initiative bid. Omega Leader has been underperforming for me lately, there's just too much hull in the meta, so a 26-7 point Deathfire with Conner Net or Clusters is nice.
Basically, you create a huge no fly zone for Nym, as 1 IPM will be the end for him. You should be able to trade 1 ship for Nym, and then the other 2 can take Dengar (Not easy btw, he's still really good).
