I have been thinking of all the heroes in Star Wars and wondering what they would be like in Legion. And I find that many of them aren't really commanders. Sure technically Han is in command of the attack on the Endor bunker. But really, how much commanding does he really do? Then I realized that most of the real Iconic characters are more heroes than Commanders, especially on the rebel's side.

I actually love how Legion makes your commander a commander and not just a really tuff single character, but What if I want Cassian, Jynn, and K5-SO. Or Han, Luke and Lea in my list. Surely they can't all be my commanders, but if their was a character slot different from the commander slot they wouldn't need to be.

I think Leia and Han will be commanders. Because Leia has already been confirmed and Han because of what you mentioned but I think characters like Chewy, R2, and Boba would fill in the specialist role or something.

Granted with empires lack of noteable characters Boba may end up a commander.

In regards to the comment about Han and the Battle of Endor. Alot of the scenes where Han leads the rebels were cut from the film. Maybe they were deemed too graphic for a Star Wars film but they can be seen on youtube.

I also agree the Empire had too few notable leaders. But that is mainly because if the rebels didnt kill them, after one slip up Vader killed them off. They had Grand Moff Tarkin, Admiral Ozzel, Captain Needa, Admiral Piett, General Veers, and the Emperor himself to list the named Imperials. But honestly FFG could bring any of them to the game.

Yeah the empire has options for commanders, but they probably won't have the greatest damage output but will be great to deal out buffs or something.

I want cheap commanders! I don't want 2 ATSTS Vader and 2 groups of stormtroopers all the time. It will get tiresome with Vader going after Luke or Luke on Luke or Vader vs Vader. Variety will be awesome and Im sure FFGwill do it correct. Many different army compositions.

I think we wait and see.

In 40k, which seems to be an influence on legion development, there are hero units that take up slots other than the HQ. So Boba Fett as a solo uber Special Forces option isn't a stretch.

Likewise there might be additional options. For example Cassian and Jynn could be individual Commanders, taking up the two Command slots, with K2-SO as an upgrade option to attach to one of them.
