It's Q4 until December 31st. So FFG isn't wrong yet.

As far as Sloan goes the RAW is what we use (and in my mind its pretty clear and I only play rebels) but due to poor editing \/ it does not reflect RAI.

My expectation is that the FAQ will change wording to reflect the original RAI from play testing, but that is conjecture so I could be wrong. I also expect wave 7 by xmas.....

Regionals begin in a month, and I'm not sure they've even been officially announced yet?

And they don't hot-drop FAQs with an effective date of "Now.", there's usually around a two week delay.

That would mean two weeks to practice with the new FAQ, which would suck hard for someone who finds their most comfortable fleet illegal with just a few weeks before regionals.

So I'm hoping they don't do that, unless it's just minor clarifications and the like.

Is this where I half joke and say they release a FAQ with one legit change, and two copy errors for X Wing?

Yup, not as unlikely as it sounds...

Not saying I think we'll have it for Christmas, necessarily. Just that it's not completely outside the realm of possibility.
