I think he's going to be a significant part of it.
Imperial high PS is currently a thing. Thweek will be good against them. If Thweek is good enough, a significant portion of Imperials will bail from the PS race in favor of firepower/durability.
Superiority fighters are being given their opening. Not by any one single change but more so the cavalcade of changes caused by the meta re-organizing. They have a chance against most anything.
I don't think it's too big a stretch to suggest Quickdraw in particular will be rising to the very top of the usage charts.
I also think we're going to see a big uptick in imperial missile lists as cruise and harpoon drop.
IDK. I'd say dengar is basically unnerfable so he's going to (yet again) be fine
But scum nym has lost his central gimmick, as genius now forces him to discard bombletts on use
Rather than infinite long range bombing options (+ flexibility of just running into your opponent to deny shots) you get two at most
Rebel Nym cares a lot less, but even he got good use of ole genius + EU or even just genius to set up key bombs with his ability
For my money, the meta will continue to be turrets (which have not been nerfed at all) and maybe harpoons. Dash is literally untouched while Dengar and Miranda are effectively untouched
Edited by ficklegreendiceSeeing how dominant Thweek may be, I've been trying to build with GUNBOATs without VI and Kylo in the shuttle
I don't know about dominant, but Thweek does seem like an adequate check on high PS aces. Dominant makes me think of something that dictates how the entire match is played. I don't think Thweek can be that punishing - he's a more reactive ship.
Dash seems like the ship set up to be dominant. Kiting has been established as a strong strategy and he's the epitome of it.

Pish.
"Once per round, after you are hit by an attack, if the attacker is inside your firing arc, you may receice a stress token to perform an attack against that ship."
There. I nerfed him.

What.
I, too, am predicting a lot of Dash/Miranda, Dash/Nym, and Miranda/Nym still. I am hoping that gunboats and some new Talonbane/Thweek/+1 builds can put the hurt on Dash. I think FSR, even though still strong, will fall out of favor. I can tell you that I've dropped Biggs from my favorite build, and I'm not gonna look back.

We will probably see more Dash/Miranda.
Whatever it is it will probably have to be nerfed next FAQ. Welcome to the Nerf-meta.

Eh. I share this account.
Aces are definitely back for all factions
Cruise Missile Imps
RAC and Kylo Silencer
Miranda and Dengar still
4 tlt aggressors
And I think the almighty stresshog will be back in force (probably in 3 ship lists) due to ace saturation in the meta and miranda taking stress to drop action bombs on a slam.
