I love my Raider BTW, and regard the Emperor card as a bonus to a beautiful centerpiece model. (I bought it for the Vader fix...

The JumpMaster nerf: Punishing One title to the rescue?
I think the OP's suggestion is reasonable. But what if as a compromise to those who still think it would leave Dengar too powerful we do this?
"Your upgrade bar loses 1 <crew> icon and gains 1 <torpedo> icon and 1 <salvaged> icon. Once per round you may roll one additional attack die when performing a primary weapon attack against an enemy inside your firing arc."
That way the lore purists are appeased (for a ship that isn't actually canon anymore), Dengar's fire power is knocked down a peg and everybody's happy.

It appears in Freemaker Adventures, which sort of straddles the line between canon and noncanon.

It may be a case of "Every bit of the plots that involves Lego-specific elements is non-canon - but the characters and situations are canonizable:
During a panel liveblog held at Celebration Europe in London on July 16 2016, the creators also characterized The Freemaker Adventures as "canon-adjacent" but inferred that their adherence to the Story Group's guideline meant that "this [the TV series] could be." When asked whether the crew of the Ghost, the main cast of the Canon animated television series Star Wars Rebels, could appear in the series, the creators clarified that this would not be the case for Season One but hinted that they might appear at a later time.[5] During Celebration Orlando in April 2017, Roth confirmed that General Hera Syndulla would indeed be appearing.[12]
During an interview with IGN journalist Max Nicholson, Roth described LEGO Star Wars as "its own unique universe" which followed the Star Wars continuity but was "reenacted by a kid playing with his own toys." Motz characterized the animated series as "Canon Paraphrase." The creators also pitched ideas regularly to Beck to ensure that their ideas and plot elements did not come into conflict with other projects like Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and Star Wars: Episode IX.[18]
I would suggest that Dengar's ship is one such canonizable element.
Edited by IronlordI'm newish to X-wing, and i would have HATED it if a ship I brought in my ignorance of its contents had cards that could only be used on ships coming in only one other very expensive expansion! (OC-R4 - Scum Y is only ship can use this now)
I have only played against Jumpmasters twice, and didn't find them that hard (though annoying) to deal with, and so, for three reasons (As a Lore fan, to keep expac upgrades legal, and because I don't see major harm in this suggestion), I Firmly agree with this proposal.

Ok, so it appears in a 'canon adjacent' source. That's a start. I'm not being sarcastic here, let's recall that the TIE/D appeared in a mobile phone game (which was also a canon grey area) before being officially canonized in Rebels.
Even if it will appear in a 'True Canon' source (Han Solo Movie?) there's no guarantee that it will have a salvaged astromech or torpedoes. The TIE/D doesn't use ion canons or tractor beams in Rebels after all, it just has 6 laser cannons.

We've already seen (from previews) that the hard points between its 6 laser cannons - can be upgraded to contain weapons.
I see the ships in Secret Cargo and In The Name of The Rebellion, as being the newcanon equivalent of x7s, and the ships in the trailer previews for what looks like the upcoming Flight of the Defender episode as being newcanon equivalent of TIE/Ds.

Oooooh, I haven't seen that preview yet. I'll have to check it out.

It's the generic trailer for Season 4 I'm referring to. This is it:
1.10, 2.04, 2.43 are moments of it (yellow Defender). I think there was a red defender in an earlier trailer, but I don't know if it had extra weapons.

Huh, re-watching the trailer I don't see any direct evidence of extra cannons, but in the episode 5 preview teaser Thrawn does mention a 'Defender Elite' so it seems very plausible.

These were the stills, in one of the earlier threads on this:

Compare to the "regular" defender from Season 3, and there's noticeable gun barrels in between the panels, instead of holes:

18!? Dang, you guys must really fear Dengar. I think 15 would put it more in line with where it should be.

I originally had it at 15, but since the original card is 12, I thought half of that value added made more sense. I'm not the best at gauging the cost of card very well. If the board thought 15 is a better value, that would influence me to change it.
We honestly don't play Dengar very much (I'm Imperial, my son is Scum and my wife is a Rebel), but I do wish that FFG would change the title to something along these lines.
keep it at 12 and make it a unique salvaged astromech only
