I liked some of the mechanics bt face it, it had that outdated 90's TCG business model where they hid some of the best cards behind rare. Still they had no idea of balance so ironically the best decks was a trooper deck for force drain and area control.
Still I loved the economy aspect that game had. One of the best and has yet to be replicated.
A lot of the names we now take for granted were invented for that game.
Well, I dare say the idea was Rare = Powerful. I really don't remember trooper decks being a thing, more the main and toys concept.
While I thought the game had a very unique idea for play (Force Drain and Attrition), I really hated it. We played a homebrew version that I can't even remember the rules to that allowed us to play 2 players per side, because we had 4 people who wanted to play.
