Sick art! Love it. Effect... we'll see. You can use it on your opponent's characters too, and it combos with the void ring. "Would you pay 0 fate and a card to get a steady supply of fate?" But also... Let Go is such an staple nowadays... We'll see.
If a Character loses Fate they typically die so you MAYBE get 1-2 Fate out of a card that could be replaced with something that effects board position directly. A friend mentioned a combo with I Am Ready, but that is a gimmick that might or might not happen so still not worth it. So far the overall Phoenix spell selection leave alot to be desired from my perspective...
Hot ****!

This card will be played.
Edited by Coyote WalksSince I'm editing a double post, I'll add that you seem to be undervaluing the Fate that would be returned.
Even as bait for Let Go , I am happy with this spell.
Edited by Coyote WalksYeah that's a pretty good card all around. Not amazing but solid. A good way to get a return on investment or vampire off of theirs.
Card is dope. Probably gets Insta targeted by Let Go, but it costs you nothing. Not sure it becomes a staple, but there's a good chance it does. Like 60%. Great splash option too.
A player can only ever have 3 "Let Go" so even if this protects a pacifism, it's worth it.
I am not undervaluing the fate. It is going to manifest itself as, "This card is worth 1 Fate" most of the time. I find it hard to believe that this will be the best we can expect when there are already much better cards out there, just not enough of them. I give this a 2/5.
Where was it posted?
An unnamed Scorpion sent me the link. It was first seen on Discord and the L5R FB page.

This card is Dragon meta, specifically against Mirumoto Raitsuge. Heck, I also think it's meta for Dragon for the same reason and makes me reconsider whether Phoenix splash might work for Dragon. If we get other ways to manipulate Fate on Characters in play I'll be splashing this faster than bad grass through a sick cow.

I still only triggers once per turn right? So it's not like you could duel someone to snag a fate and then get an extra fate at the end of the round when the 2nd fate gets pulled off.
Still; fate is such a precious resource that any card which is able to generate some will always be relevant.
I like this with Giver of Gifts....
In a game where you get 7 - 10 fate a turn, the change is significant, especially if this card combos well with other things.
10% - 14% of your fate in a turn is being transferred to your opponent. Is it worth a card? We'll see by the end of the year.

No, this care will always be worth 2 fate, because you can buy a character with 2 fate.
This card says, "Trade this card for at a minimum starting your next two turns with 8 fate in your pool".
Fate acceleration is insanely powerful, this card looks amazing.
I could see this being pretty decent. Phoenix likes to buy cards with multiple fate on them so they can honor them and have it stick around longer. This card lets you get back some of that investment. Getting two fate for `1 card seems fair. Wish it were unlimited times so there could be void ring shenanigans. It's slow, so it'll be a poor draw late game, and decent early game. I'm not particularly thrilled about it, overall.
Good against decks that like to pile up lots of fate on one guy, if that's a thing, but I think that other Phoenix spell that was spoiled does it better. 'Remove up to 5 fate tokens.' Of course, Above Question or a counterspell shuts that down hard, so it's probably too early to say how playable either card is. Nice little economy piece, for now.
I would be fine if Let Go targeted this, because then we've traded 1 card for 1 card. Much better than Let Go on Pacifism...
This says nothing about opponent's effects, so this goes off once per turn on any character with fate on them, correct? That seems pretty good in my book. People play Good Omen, and that's a single fate that's conditional. This is just good economy for those that like putting 2 to 3 fate on key characters.
OMG, Wandering Robin bomb.

Now, now - nobody plays Wandering Ronin. ?
How can you judge the usefulness of this card without seeing the other what... 100 or so cards we haven't seen yet?
Even now it's pretty interesting as Casanunda stated. It's a 0 fate attachment that gives you back the fate you invest at the very least.
I like it as a splash into dragon.

Not sure where Kazue comes into play, she seems kinda redundant if you're already playing EW with the Emo Stone on it. Or is she intended as a backup means of putting fate on EW to send to your pool?
