Modding Vehicles of the opposing side.

By Sarone, in Star Wars: Legion

Has there been any discussion about modding some of the vehicles to be on the other side? I can see the Empire using the AT-RT for the scout troopers, while the Rebels can most likely get their hands on the speeder bikes. Heck, it might not be unusual for the Rebels to have a few AT-STs in their forces.

Has any one else though about this?

Nope, no one ever.

Kidding. Unless you home-brew it, I wouldn't expect FFG to do something like this for a while (like years).

Agreed. I see where you are going with this but I wouldn't think this would be a standard part of the game.

It would make the factions too similar

Star Wars has always had exaggerated visuals. That's why things have big honkin' solar panels, or moveable wings, or custom units for different terrain types. Partly, that goes along with each faction having its own stuff and not mixing. I too see where you're going with this, but I don't particularly want it, and I am absolutely sure that it will never be considered for an official release.

Do watch what happens with Battlefront II in terms of prequel-era stuff that finds its way into the OT era. Clones were the ancestors of the stormtroopers, but we were presented with them as the good guys, so anything clone that carries over into the OT is aligned with the Rebels (AT-PTs AT-RTs, any clone veterans).

It would be kinda cool to have Chewie be able to capture an AT-ST when he shows up.

Just think “captured tie” from xwing

Considering Luke and Leia were on speeder bikes in Episode 6 I wouldn't rule it out. I remember the old Star Wars miniatures game had Rebel Troopers (Blockade runner type) on bikes. They were awesome.

That may be your reason to want to buy 2 core sets. Then you would have an extra Luke to try and jerry-rig onto the speeder bike in place of the scout ;)

That came in Wave X after almost 4 years of game lifespan ;) Not anytime soon for sure in Legion

I don't think they'll do it for some time, with such a low unit type count at the moment it would just basically give Rebels more options.

I believe. Sabine’s AT-ST.

It would be awesome if they allow cross use of some units. That way people who favor one side of the other won't be stuck with units they would otherwise never use.
