He has a pretty decent ability. Strap on a Mangler or maybe an HLC, free reroll, you have the evade action, good dial, can take Kylo, etc...
I hate the meta.

No reroll on auxiliary arc?
No EPT?
Overcosted?
Ugly ship?
Not Scum??
Middle

pilot skill syndrome on a hull that is considered overcosted and no EPT. For instance, slap a HLC/Mangler on him and you are over 40 points before even looking at crew.
Is he really worth that much of your list? Hmm, probably not. There are other ships and pilots to look at.
The implication that Krassis was ever played is questionable. The Firespray has never been good*, and Krassis has never been a good Firespray.
*Scum Boba comes closest.
Firesprays are way over priced but still fun with Engine Upgrade, Rebel Captive, and either Expertise or Predator.
Jumpmasters are 25, 27, 30, 33 pts each. Imp Firesprays are 33, 36, 38, 39 pts each. So basically they are 5-10 pts to expensive in my book.
Its actually a SUPER FUN ship that take some skill to fly the problem is they get into the 50-60 pt cost range very quickly and melt under concentrated fire.
A well flown Firespray is going to use its rear arc alot which Krassis does nothing to help with.
So if your not flying Boba or Kath you might as well run something like this at the cheapest possible price. Swap Reb Cap for Weapons Engineer to make shooting things easier.
| Bounty Hunter — Firespray-31 | 33 |
| Rebel Captive | 3 |
| Harpoon Missiles | 4 |
| Extra Munitions | 2 |
| Long-Range Scanners | 0 |
| Slave I | 0 |
| Ship Total: 42 | |
If you want to get your Imperial Firespray kicks I suggest this list for casual play. I use variations on it alot and its great fun although...fragile.
Yes 62 pts is a hilariously stupid # of pts for a Firespray but the way I see it your starting at a disadvantage the moment its on the table so might as well go all in and thematic
| Darth Vader — TIE Advanced | 29 |
| Veteran Instincts | 1 |
| Cruise Missiles | 3 |
| Advanced Targeting Computer | 1 |
| Engine Upgrade | 4 |
| TIE/x1 | 0 |
| Ship Total: 38 | |
| Boba Fett — Firespray-31 | 39 |
| Expertise | 4 |
| "Mangler" Cannon | 4 |
| Ion Bombs | 2 |
| Kylo Ren | 3 |
| Harpoon Missiles | 4 |
| Extra Munitions | 2 |
| Engine Upgrade | 4 |
| Slave I | 0 |
| Ship Total: 62 | |

It's the cost more than anything as she's a great pilot. I came 4th in my first ever store championship using her.

Cost is the reason most bad ships are bad though.
If here re-roll wasn't just secondary weapons, than she'd be ok. Otherwise, you're lucky to get to use it twice in a game and for 3 points less you can get a PS 3 Bounty Hunter.

Except when triple Bounty Hunter was a thing. I think someone even won a major tourney with them.

There was a definitely a time when people flew Whisper + Firesprays to good effect right?
Of course they probably could have just flown a 1 ship list with Whisper....but still....Im going to count it.

Yeah, I should probably preface that with 'in the time I've been playing', which is not the whole game. But I never got the impression that firesprays had been a major meta force at any points. Winning a single Regional or National doesn't really mean much.
Easy answer : No Ept !
Back to wave 2, he is not bad with a heavy canon and a mini swarm to protect him.
Now with so much possibility he become useless...

Opinions are like asses. Every one has one.
My opinion is: The Firespray is ugly as ****. (as most of Scum ships)
I only keep it in my collection because is an OT ship. It can't even fly and land in the same position. Also belongs to the most overrated character in the history of StarWars.

I've also had some fun flying the ship. Usually kept it really cheap in casual games with a Bounty Hunter, HLC, Tailgunner, optionally add Slave I and LRS, but one thing which has been rolling around in my head recently is:
If they are in front of you, you are either putting ISYTDS crits on them or Stress via Kylo and Kath's interaction. If they are behind you, they are getting pounded on by the rear arc and bombs. Haven't tried it yet.

I have tried that combo with Boba and Expertise instead several times. Expertise or Predator is required in my book since the action efficency is no bueno
Its fun. Pair it with an ace and its basically the "bad" version of RAC/Kylo ( i.e. perfect for Casual games )
Edited by Boom OwlI do think it's the cost of putting the cannon on him that really pushes him over. Wanting an EPT pushes you a little further.
I would go with Recon Spec for him (or any Firespray) as one Focus for offense and one for defense. Or...both for defense if you roll well.
Man, so many reasons. I flew him in a small kit tournament a few months back. There were only like 5 players (so everyone would get prizes), so I decided not to fly Dash/Poe, and instead went with an OT build of Krassis (HLC, Engine, Rebel Captive), Vader (ATC, Engine, Adrenaline Rush), and Wampa, kind of as practice for a larger upcoming OT tournament I cared about more.
Even with Engines, the mobility is kind of low, and when boosting you lose Focus. There are often a lot of turns when you're arcs just aren't on ships. Meanwhile, he's not really all that tanky. He doesn't move well enough to get out of arc like a Han Solo, he doesn't have great defensive mods. He just dies much faster than you want a 50 point ship to die. Meanwhile, he's all the way up at 50 points, because he has to pay for both a secondary weapon and baseline 3 attack dice. That's one of the issues with Cannons in general: most ships which can carry them already have 3 attack dice, so the cost efficiency isn't there. Many of the best Torpedo/Missile ships are 2 attack dice, with the implied lower ship cost.
In my squadbuilder, I titled the list: "Why do i keep flying Krassis Trelix?"
///
That said, I did fly him in my first game of X-Wing. KT, Omega Leader, Zeta Leader, against a Fat Han + Lone Wolf Luke. Blew Luke up first round of shooting in part thanks to the HLC, and then while OL did have some help, she pretty much solo'd Solo.
