I feel that you're wasting time for information until unlimited power comes out ??

That is a very valid point :P . I can neither confirm nor deny it's accuracy...

EDIT: Manipulate and Misdirect were the two I had definitively crossed off the list of her potential powers, because she's not comfortable with machines and she absolutely HATES illusions. She thinks people live under the spell of enough of them already, why would she ever want to add more?

She would really not like Ashara...

Ashara's not very likeable, but at least the Manipulate thing gave us a reason why she abandoned the Order.

I joke with her player that Ashara's is basically Kemna's Evil Twin at this point :) i

I can see it! :D

Ooh! That's actually...maybe once Kem gets over her droid prejudice, she has to seek out Ashara to get some basic training in Manipulate to be able to telepath with droids? Requires them to spend some time together so we can see their personalities bounce off one another!

Of course, Kem is pretty darn perceptive on her own, maybe she only needs to get past her own illusion that life is necessary to have thoughts and she can develop it on her own? She already got past the "sentience" and "animal" barriers on her own, maybe the metal barrier just needs a change to her point of view?

That sounds really cool! I'll mail you so we can chat! :)

Well, they'd need at least FR 3 to be able to buy Protect/Unleash, so...yeah, me too :D !

So - the big money question: what's the minimum cost once you figure in the costs to get to FR3?

That's not hard: the quickest way to FR 3 is by starting as a Sage. 135 XP gets you both ranks in Force Rating. Then, assuming you had a Mentor, you just add in the 2,515 XP needed for all the powers, getting you a minimum XP cost of 2,650.

We can also make some predictions for the future, too! The average for XP cost of a Force power is 144.44, which we can just round to 145. We also know that we're going to be getting at least four more (two in Unlimited Power , one in the Warrior book, and one in the third adventure).

So with all of that, combined with our 135 xp Save to get to Force Rating 3, the likely final cost for all Force Powers will be 3,210 :) .

2 most likely.

There is also potential for powers in books like Dawn of rebellion. I could see skme in an olld republic era book.

We also have 2 more region books.

Dawn of Rebellion definitely; we have no data regarding what kind of inclusions Era books will have, so it's definitely possible.

The region books, however, I feel are unlikely. We've already got one that did not have a unique Force power, so that means future ones are led likely to do so, if only for the sake of consistency.

Don't they usually try and keep the information in the region specific books, specific to that region? I mean, is there any reason for a Force power to be only in one section of the galaxy? And I'm not talking about Traditions, that I could totally see in a region book, for obvious reasons. I mean like a specific power itself.

I am by no means a canon expert, especially now that the Mouse has brushed so much of it aside, but I don't really think there is a reason. Sure, someone unique might have developed a power and taught it freely on their home world, resulting in a power that's common on that planet and rare elsewhere, but that doesn't mean it's only available there. Someone could learn it then go to a different planet and start teaching it, or simply develop it themselves, possibly completely separately.

Right, that's why I doubt they would put it in a region/system/sector/etc book. I could easily see them including some Force Traditions though, as those would very much be regional. But a power that somehow is only ever used here? That seems unlikely, given what I've heard from the devs in interviews about their goals with the books. They like to stay on topic, and not deviate much if possible.

I agree. Just said possible. Era books having them makes more sense though

Speaking of Era books, i want to see one for both the FO/Resistance Era and the Clone Wars.

Unfortunately, we probably won't see a complete era book for the sequel trilogy until after Episode IX.?

Probably. However we could get clone/prequel in the meantime. One can hope

'Tis possible! It think it's one of the those things people could learn if they wished, but few would ever even try, because it exposes you to icky robot thoughts and you get socially shunned by all the cool kids.

And our Jedi are all about orthodoxy, and conveniently ignore anything that doesn't support their traditions.

But maybe it's not that far removed from talking to plants? And if droids really are sentient creatures... who knows what things might be possible?

There were definitely a couple silicate-based life forms in the EU. And in canon, come to think about it, unless those khyber crystals that power everyone's lightsabers are diamonds.

...What I'm trying to say is, rocks being alive & therefore part of the Force is definitely lore-friendly, so robots being alive & part of the Force isn't exactly unreasonable.
