Imperial T-65 X-Wing Confirmed

By Boom Owl, in X-Wing

The X-wing was originally designed by Incom Corporation for the Empire by Vors Voorhorian . It was directly descended from the old Z-95 Headhunter , built by Incom and Subpro, with lessons learned from the ARC-170 starfighter of the Clone Wars . After the Galactic Empire planned to nationalize the Incom Corporation, the entire engineering team defected to the Rebel Alliance with the prototypes hidden on Fresia .

Not sure if the Star Wars wiki is a reliable source....but if it is.....

The Empire had the T-65 X-Wing first. FFG should release a T-65 Fix but make it Imperial Only :)

Take that Sabine! This is what happens when you keep stealing stuff from Thrawn...

Well someone's salty....

Wouldn't... Wouldn't Sabine just end up stealing an X-wing then?

Actually, the Inferno Squad (an Imperial unit) from the game Battlefront II has 2 X-Wings inside the Raider's hangar . So, yes, the Empire has X-Wings (at least 2) - we just don't know if those are capture form the Empire or prototypes.

What... What if... What if they changed the story of how the Rebels acquired the T-65? What if it was Hondo? He was the one that led them to the Y-wings.

It’s taking great restrain to not post something very sarcastic. So I’ll say it’s moments like this when we find out little bits of information that expand our image of the Star Wars Universe.

And they should be prototype versions that are superior to the rebel version in every way, with Imperial Only upgrades.

I know it would freak the rebel players out, but that is literally what happened to the TIE fighter. How would this be different? In my POV not at all.

I would sure like an Iden Versio, PS 8 X-wing ace as the one imperial card in the X-wing fix. At least :)

Boy that sure is a lot of Legends material.

It would be a shame if it wasn't remotely canon.

True, but then.... neither is the toilet seat...

Confirmed? Confirmed click-bait, you mean!

I think we will get an Imperial Y-wing before we get an Imperial X-wing or even a Scum TIE-Fighter.

And this will be the imperial Y-wing model.

because, as everyone knows, prototypes are always better than full production models :D

Budget cuts on the production model.

But what astromech will you put in it? Evil R2 got cut from Rogue One and so has yet to make a canon appearance. Evil BB-whatever will be unique. Can BT-1 fly a ship? Then again, maybe Copper in his imp skin could steal one for Sabine. "This is madness" -C3PO

I think we're going to get an ep. or two about how they got the X-wings in this last season. Whether it'll be the same as the legends story or not is yet to be seen. They could well change it.

Sweet, so we're getting captured x-wings? Can they use Sabine? Do they not get shot at until they attack something? Are they better than the rebel x-wings?
