The Durandal Initiative Is Starting Up a CC Campaign!

We'll be getting going tonight on a new campaign. Since we've never played a whole one through, due mainly to my never having won a CC battle and getting horribly outclassed by the end of turn 2, we will be trying to play a pretty normal 4 player game without alot of fancy house rules. Only thing really different will be that we have just 2 players playing the 4 player game so 2 fleets each. Watch us live tonight or wait for some edited videos to appear later. Here's to hoping I actually win one of these things!

A really solid way to avoid a blowout campaign is to simply agree to no base assaults or special assaults turn 1. Really its when one team or another cap a base and or win a special assault that things go off the rails in a bad way. Otherwise, best of luck and excited to see how it goes!

Thanks! We will see. I did manage to win but just barely since I flew my Neb-B into the fight instead of away like the watchers were suggesting but I didn't end up scarring very many of his ships. We actually have about the same number of points to unscar after this battle. That squad ball he's running is pretty intimidating and now they're all veterans for next battle. I thought my squads would last a bit longer, but I did fly them poorly. Got most killed without them even being able to shoot at anything.

That's a pretty good suggestion. Before we play our next match we may change it to a non-special assault which is what I declared.

Admiral Jerrjerrod has been tasked by Lord Vader to quell the growing unrest in the Polanis system. Oooo kay.. so we've taken the raw vid down for now. For any of you that watched the livestream.. ugh.. sorry. But thanks for being a part of our little slice of reality TV! We really do enjoy playing!

For those of you that missed it.. this was a match best left for the edited vid. We took way too long to set up, then we deliberated over moves for.. quite some time. Our turns were taking far far.. far too long. On top of all that we got ourselves into a disagreement over the range of a VCX and if it could reach a token to move it.. or not. Not our finest hour.

We're all good though! We kissed and made up and decided that we'll take this one and learn from it. I, personally, have to get less.. much much less stressed out about winning and losing. It's a game. I tell others that same thing all the time and really need to reassess my attitude.

Since our fleets are posted here please give feedback. I know @SgtDurandal is wondering about a good way to use/add to his squads (we're in a campaign so we can't change them all out) and I can always use advice. I know I want more activations so I was thinking about adding transports and maybe a cr90 to my Ackbar fleet.

Anyway, we'll get better! We promise! And @SgtDurandal.... not ashamed to admit it at all.. I love you in a brotherly non-romantic kind of way!
