Actually there is the last space variant but I can’t remember the name

It was never given a seperate designation, but it's the one without the door guns.

The most common LAAT-series model was the LAAT/i, an infantry transport and mobile gun platform used throughout the Clone Wars...

...Later versions of the LAAT/i removed the gunnery balls for forward doors, allowing them to drop from an orbital cruiser, instead of needing the cruiser to enter the atmosphere, allowing for much faster and stealthier troop deployment.

Ok so we need Han Solo pilot card for the Imperial Shuttle

Wedge Antillies or Corran Horn for Tie Defender pilot card.....

Rebel Kasan Moor for Tie Intercepter

Rookie One for Tie Phantom

Hobbie or Biggs can replace Sabine in the Tie Fighter since thats what they started flying for the rebellion before x-wing

Part of the reason we got Sabine's TIE Fighter in the first place is that the Rebellion has very few ships left of the correct size. I mean. They have since released the H-Wing and the Wookiee Gunship. Literally what new ships can they have for Wave 14?

N-1 Starfighter, Resistance Transport (hopefully never) and Resistance A-Wings.

And they released the U-Wing, not the H-Wing (I wouldn't mind to get that one, though).

Never mind Guys:

Its Ezra's Tie defender now (with sabine crew)

Edit: Thrawn comments that Ezra bridger has "modest" skill. Thrawn sees orange numbers above everyones' heads. Life is torture for him knowing exactly how good everyone is at flying ships. Why was he cursed as such. No one knows. But he sure as heck is mad to be beaten by a 4 and a 6

YOU HEAR THAT, DISNEY???

For reals.

Between Rebels, the new EU books (Aftermath book one comes to mind) and The Force Awakens Disney has really been overusing the 'Rebel main characters steal a TIE' plot device. I mean, yeah, it makes sense that they would do that when the need arose but it's starting to become a cliché plot device.

Actually I would be sooo happy if when we see that part of the episode Sabine tries to steal the defender and it has some sort of ant-theft alarm and security lockdown device that Thrawn invented because he studied their prior tactics.

I mean. Watch the episode. It kinda did.

Yep and now we also know where a TIE Defender has its missile rails mounted and how many it carries (6).

But in all seriousness we just saw a stripped down U wing and an "Advanced" tie defender. With the arrival of x wings to the show this season there is a great number of possible new rebels related releases. This Advanced defender had really long wings making it almost look more like a hybrid of a defender and a phantom, which although I would not like to see it, might warrant a new defender in a couple of waves if thrawn has more of them later this season.

If FFG releases any more rebel scum TIEs "because Sabine" I'm done for good.

You're always welcome over to Armada, we love new and bitter ex-X-wing players(I'm one myself). :)

You just wait until you guys get Sabine's Imperial Star Destroyer.

I do own a bit of Armada, it just hasn't seen any table time in a while.

"Gawd ****it, does that have her stupid symbol painted on the top of it. Why's it purple and orange".

Well, definitely no new Rebel TIEs... for now...

However, possibly a new Imperial Defender title?

Loses the cannon slot, keeps missiles, gets +1 to primary weapon?

They actually get Thrawn's Imperial Star Destroyer. Close enough if you ask me. ;-)

I think it looks exactly like the other TIE Defenders in the show (with the exception of the external wing-mounted missiles). We also see it shooting from it's six wing cannons (none is an ion though).

It looked far less fat than every other tie on that show to me, but that might just be how they model their standard ties ties to have larger cockpits in the show than the rest of cannon.

I think that's the reason.

OMG please.

Advanced TIE Defender
Tie Defender only. Modification.

After performing an attack with a missile secondary weapon, you may spend a focus or evade token to flip the discarded missile faceup.

Just a thought...

Unless this defender gets multiple episodes, you're safe, guys. Chill out.

As to the captured Tie expansion. In theory, I think it's a great addition to the game (Defectors and spies presumably steal ties on a regular basis), but I feel the execution suffered. Sabine's Masterpiece should have been free, but reduced your agility by one to represent that the cramped cockpit of a Tie Fighter becomes hard to manage when you hide extra stuff in it. As for the Captured Tie, well... I guess what we got wasn't the worst KISS rules text for an undercover Tie in a non-mission setting, but perhaps that concept was too difficult to pull off in 100/6 and should have been left for missions, since what we got frequently ends up straining credibility. To be honest, it's kind of ironic that what was an attempt to inject narrative into 100/6 is so hated by fluff fans.

I'm annoyed because only rebels seem to get their fluffy things.

Why can't imperials have their fluff? Oh we are the villain faction, so we are bumbling idiots and fools. WE don't get our named characters as crew, for whatever reason. And when mediocre pilots take our worst ships, they suddenly become competitive. Yeah. Bit salty about that.

Please if you seriously think that, hide in a hole. If you are trolling, consider me baited.

It doesn't look the same at all. In fact...
http://fractalsponge.net/?p=126

It is strikingly similar to the Fractalsponge model. It has the elongated wings, extended-backwards pylons, really, she has the hallmarks of Hsiao's Defender. Here's the TIE Defender from Rebels previously.

maxresdefault.jpg

As you can see, her pylons are circular and her wings are much shorter. This new variant is very, very different to the one we've been seeing.

EDIT: I realize not everybody is like me and looks for the subtle differences in ships. No offense, especially when they wish to decry something. So here.

I think that should clear up any debate, don't you?

Based on the episode, also has maybe +2 shields, all maneuvers are white, and can perform the Stop maneuver.

But yeah, if the TIE Defender Elite(as the episode calls it) is actually a new 3D model and not just a matter of perspective, then hey, maybe they'll make a whole new ship out of it.

Listen here FFG, if you release a new Defender model that is playable (pretend its a scum ship) and adds new toys to the old ones, I'll buy a full new set of them. I'll even do you one better and give you the money myself, in person at your store for full MSRP. Maybe throw in a revised /D title with a price reduction or added system slot? What do you say? You want my money?

I would kill so many bothans for a TIE/D with a control cannon and FCS.

Complete with Vult Skellis as the test pilot...

It'd be interesting, certainly.

If that is six laser cannons, then putting it in the bracket of the phantom wouldn't be unreasonable.

+1 Primary, +1 Shield would be enough to make it a massively scarier ship. Keep the missile slot. And the 'airbrake' stop action is...random.
