The Double VCX Thread

Regionals are coming up, how viable is double vcx?

I would like to get range 1 of any cruise/harpoons/plasma torps, and cover majority of my blind spot.

Engines let me bumrush opponents so they cant fire missiles/torps, and helps get around corners.

Weapons Engineer allows different targets.

Zeb on the Lothal can help prevent Nym from adv sensors bumping and bombing while avoiding fire, or miranda from slamming. Choppers ability will help negate the purposely bumping as well.

Now, I'm just a small-town pizza lawyer crafty entrepreneur, but wouldn't "Zeb" Orrelios be much more potent on Chopper?

There's a lot to be said for big fat turrets. My current list is double VCX.

Synced Turret is UTTER balls though.

One of my friends who "semi quit" the game flew this alot with alot more wins than losses, i just don't remember what the crew was.

I agree with @E Chu Ta , shouldn't Zeb go with Chopper to get both stress and damage? Are we missing something in the strategy?

I dont want Nym or Miranda, or whover to bump one ghost and shoot the other. Choppers ability deters ships ramming him to shoot the lothal, and zeb will deter ships ramming lothal to shoot chops.

That is the classic way to fight two large ships, and adv sensors nym could do it everytime.

Isnt this just out right better with a TLT Y-Wing and FCS/Autoblasters on both instead of all the rest of the jazz?

On a separate note fighting lists like this is a really interesting challenge.

Its sometimes hard to sort out if your actually at a disadvantage or if it just feels that way because of all the HP.

Personally, I don't really like Zeb. I understand the premise but I feel like I've been burned more often by getting shot at, than the benefit I've gained by shooting targets I'm touching. Other folks may have had other experiences.

That said, I think Zeb is better on the Lothal Rebel. It means there isn't a safe ship to bump, rather than one which is super deadly to bump, but one which is like meh NBD.

He could, but he'd lose the damage race against the ship he could fire at. He's trying to TLT you with no mods (because he bumped) while you're hurling 3 red dice back at his 1 agility with your turret. It's not a viable strategy for him.

And also, the Ghosts 5K suggests he can't do it every time.
