I'm thinking of doing a Hoth theme for my rebels. Only thing keeping me back is that you'll get a white vs white battle.
Im going to do an urban camo scheme using the technique from Soratro’s vid. Im also going to do a squad in a grey/black version of the urban camo.
Im gonna go with a tatooine rebel sqaud. Tans and browns and main maybe ivory as white. Anybody else doing this?
Personally, in a nod to the fact that the props in the original film consisted of a BUNCH of WW2 surplus weapons and equipment, I'm leaning towards using uniform colors of WW2 in my paint schemes. Each squad painted up using colors from a different nationality to make it easier to differentiate them.
It doesn't hurt that I already have a bunch of the paints since I play historical wargames.
For what it is worth ...
Tamiya's U.S Navy Blue is spot on for the blue you see on the Pathfinders in R1. Been doing some research and tests. Made myself a primed color chart with different under colors. That color hits the mark.
Is Endor the official paint scheme for these guys?
Anyone have any idea which army painter paints would be best for the 2 types of rebel soldiers that sorastro painted?
I would want to do an urban scheme but with my imperial guard in grey and black im kind of longing to do something with color.
Probably gonna go with forest/jungle theme.
