Darned it.
Lol. New rules update. Not the one we want.
If you mean the GoT one, that was published yesterday...
??
I don't know; I think it's kind of nice knowing that they're ensuring that the Gunboat will be useful against Lannister and Stark, while seeing to it that Nym and Sabine don't overwhelm Martell and Night's Watch.
I'll also be curious to see how this clarification on playing events affects the upcoming Resistance Bomber!
Its a good game, Play it!

House Lannister OP plot armoured. House Martell DOA. Buff House Tyrell or GTFO.

Using sports references on a geeky, sci-fi gaming forum? What about those of us who don't get basketball terms?!
I’m pretty sure thats a baseball term

Fixed
I think this is a technical fowl:

Sorry, that's a Technical Owl...
Well a different Star Wars game got a rules update and errata. Pretty big ones too from the look of things. Seems like the Destiny lead designer is okay with adjusting character point costs. Just not in a potentially permanent way.
Edited by Derpzilla88so this is kinda fruit for thought....
SW:Destiny got a faq
GOT got a faq
RWM got a faq
....impending faq?
I don't play Destiny, but those look like significant changes. Willingness to change printed card points costs is a striking difference to how X-Wing, Armada, and Imperial Assault skirmish have been handled (the latter has only changed costs with new upgrade cards).
Yeah im a little miffed at that one because it completely broke my Phasma's Posse deck. I'd rather the ability change than the cost change but whatever.
To put it lightly, all the top tier decks that were nigh unbeatable just got beaten permanently. Theyre either illegal for costs or just dont work anymore.
It’s a very heavy-handed rules update actually. It’s going to generate some serious griping - I, for example, own two copies of all the cards errata’ed and then another two spares of a few more. All in all, my collection just lost over $100 in value. I’m still excited though, because a less oppressive metagame will hopefully get more players interested! I’ll be excited to see where it takes the game next.
I now have high hopes for a “balance to the Force” section of the next X-Wing errata (adjusting points costs). What’s sad though is that the Destiny one doesn’t decrease the costs of bad cards, it just increases the costs of good ones.
Oh I was freaked. Whew. Nothing in my blue villain deck was revised. All good here.
Destiny is a collectible card(die) game, I cant recall a CCG that HASNT seen errata/FAQ/ban lists that effected card value.

I don't play Destiny, but it's a bad sign for that game when the Two Player Game version of Phasma has been out for less than two months and is already getting nerfed to a point where the 30-point villains in that set are no longer a legal team.

now that you mention it, yeah that's pretty brutal
not sure how it stacks to the massive I.A slash-and-burn, salt-the-fields errata it had to do to make the majority of its skirmish pieces viable over Imperial Guards and rebel Saboteurs and such

Aussie and NZ nationals are still to come. Next week actually, maybe an FAQ after that.

This surprised me too, I unfortunately still don't think they will ever change point cost in X-wing though.

Still not as bad as Magic banning a card before it got released.

No reason they couldn't release it now, but put the effective date late November to dodge the last few Nats still to come (I think a couple of European ones are still in the wings, as well).

Well yes, but if it is the case that have waited this long to avoid national events, then it would make sense they they continue to hold off until they are all actually finished.
