Are you sure about that?

Well, we did see Leia, Han and Chewie wandering around inside a cave/belly that was open to vacuum with just a breathmask. . . .
Belley's are not a vacuum, they are full of gases that provide atmospheric pressure.

Hm, wookiees are immune to vacuum too? The discoveries keep on happening!

I don't recall the falcon going through some sort of diaphragm that would prevent pressurized gasses from escaping into space, but then again we never saw Darth Vader go to the bathroom, either. Or did we?
My take on vacuum/no vacuum? What is outside a star wars spaceship is the same thing on the outside of a Flash Gordon spaceship: more air! That way we get sound in space, smoke in space, X-Wings and TIE fighters banking and rolling like a WWII fighter and people chilling outside the same way that Brian Blessed Prince Vultan and his Hawkmen can crash dive on Mongo from one of its moons with no ill effects.

Of course it wasn't vacuum.
There wouldn't have been sound if they had been in a vacuum.
Even Star Wars wouldn't have sound in the vacuum of space!
where is my popcorn?! this topic is getting hot!

Man, Vader was almost certainly producing a constant stream of poop. If I had a cybernetic catheter (and a lava fried dong) probably one of the few pleasures I would enjoy would be pooping myself at meetings.
"And what of the Rebellion? If the Rebels have obtained a complete technical readout of this station, it is possible, however unlikely, that they might find a weakness and exploit it."
[POOOOOT. "Ah, that's the stuff. Wait, what was he saying? Oh yeah. . . "] "The plans you refer to will soon be back in our hands."

Admittedly, my eyes glazed a bit working through this thread, so this may have been brought up before.
Couldn't Watto just be mistaken/exaggerating? He's particularly strong-willed and has resisted mind tricks before and therefore all Toydarians must be resistant to mind tricks! YEAH TOYDARIANS RULE! EVERYONE ELSE DROOLS!

Yes. Their suits were sealed against the vacuum of space with no skin exposed.

Would you provide some screenshots to counter the ones I posted that showed they weren't?

but but but physics!

I'm sure someone will pretend that the pew pew pew and vroooom vroooom sounds weren't for the audience but for the pilots and generated by the sensor computers as orientation.
It'll be hilarious.

Doesn't matter, the ships made the sound that I heard and that is fact.
You have heard of animation errors before, haven't you? The intent was for them to be vacuum sealed.

Intent isn't fact, though. Seems like you're just grasping at things to argue about, how unpleasant.

Look who's talking. You just seem to want to "trip me up". Not happening.

I seem to recall that one of the EU/Legends novels said exactly that. ![]()

Presenting entire scenes of characters wearing street clothes in the vacuum of space (particularly in a franchise that the producers know fans nitpick - just look at this conversation) is an “animation error” that wasn’t returned to the animators to correct post-haste?

Doesn't matter, it's canon now, buddy!

Well, considering that those "street clothes", as you put it, were designed as light weight armor, similar to what we have in this game, yes, they could be made to be vacuum sealed.

Naw, I'm just providing ample examples that contradict your original hypothesis, and I take the time to actually quote you and provide examples to back up my claims. If you can't be bothered to quote, if you cherry-pick items to respond to, if you appear to be carrying a grudge, then I am comfortable in viewing this as an argument and not a discussion. That's not how I envisioned this going and I'm sorry it turned out this way.
