Well, you are a hero Jim, but not the hero of this thread....yet. @Astech stated, "The best possible Imperial answer to Nym is an Ion Cannon Turret Aggressor. It also happens to shut down Miranda. Fly the Aggressor with two aces (I'm thinking Kylo and Whisper when they come out) and go to town with your arc-dodginess." So, my crazy thought was a hero could fly Whisper, Striker Kylo, and an Aggressor with an Ion cannon; boy, that will be fun, if it's possible. But alas my friend, I know putting a Phantom in a list would give you chills, so?

OP: What are your thoughts on Tractor Beam on Vess and Ion on the Delta? TB is cheaper, makes other attacks more likely to hit if Vess fires first, and can get the stress if you can boost or BR them into a debris. Is the lack of damage the big difference? Just curious because around here (Des Moines) ,Tractor Vess is pretty popular.

Tractor Vess is just fine, but in this list, and when facing reposition-capable Aces who have already bombed/shot at you before you get to fire it, it often doesn't do enough. It also helps little against Large craft (beyond the agility penalty, of course, and that's not bad), but honestly, for the point on a list as fragile as this? I'd rather pump out that extra damage. It can add up a lot, and gives you the lockdown threat of ion+stress much more reliably than trying to throw ships onto Debris.

If you end up with Vessery in the endgame, the difference can be especially telling, and being able to stress out Large ships can be an unexpected godsend.

Gotcha. Thanks, I just switched from scum to imps because of the faq leak and now I'm glad I did. I've been trying to figure out what to fly and I might shamelessly netlist this one. It must love the new faq.

Weeeeell... kinda.

It's not sad to see Jumpmasters struggle; as @Biophysical noted it struggled against high-PS burst damage, and the Torpedo Dengar builds evaporating will help there.

On the other hand, it was built to prey on Nym and Miranda, who in turn were keeping high-PS high-agility aces from seeing the table. If everyone abandons them (even if it's not entirely justified, people tend to flee nerfed ships because they were nerfed a lot) then you may see more Aces - the lists weakness - and fewer Bombers - the lists strengths.

Or maybe the whole gameplay has been opened up again, and we'll see a mix of everything. In my experience against non-meta lists, CTRLfenders enjoy fighting practically everything else, so there should be fun there at least! :)

I have been running the triple deltas list, 2 with ion and 1 with tractor beam, recently with good success. Two quick questions, though:

1. With the way the meta is going, has the D vs x7 debate shifted towards the D title being at least considered now? It used to be that the x7 was vastly superior to the point that the TIE D title was laughed off the board upon set up. Did the x7 nerf and the meta shifting make the D title worth bringing?

2. I've been told that triple deltas will struggle vs a lot of lists due to low pilot skills. And I've been wanting to bring all 3 types of cannons into play, so what are your thoughts on this list:

Glaive with adaptability, TIE D, and Tractor beam
Delta with ion cannon and TIE D
Delta with Flechette cannon and TIE D

The Glaive has a PS7 tractor for possibly denying alpha missile attacks, plus reducing the agility for the other cannons, while still maintaining a level of ion and stress control within the list.
Thanks!
