Regionals list

By Rcracken7, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

Ok so I’m going to my first regionals in december. I have been using this list with relative success recently, and I am planning on using it in regionals.

Modified Pelta-class Assault Ship 56

Commander Sato 32

Veteran Captain 3

Medical Team 1

Entrapment Formation 5

Assault Concussion missiles 7

GR-75 medium transports 18

Jamming field 4

Hondo Ohnaka 2

Hammerhead torpedo frigate 36

assault proton torpedoes 5

ordnance experts 4

task force organa 1

x2

nebulon-b support refit 51

dual turbolaser turret 5

Lando calrissian 4

salvation 7

Han solo 26

YT-2400 16 x2

tycho celchu 16

shara bey 17

jan ors 19

total 395

objectives are fleet ambush, advanced gunnery, and intel sweep.

In the games I’ve played, it has performed very well, shredding enemy ships at long range, but I want to hear some feedback. Are there any glaring flaws? Are there any glaring bad watchups? Any and all feedback is appreciated, thanks.

Since nobody else said it, welcome to the forums!

Objectives, a five point bid will probably give you first some of the time. One of the considerations for regionals is always your current opponent talking to your next opponent. This alters some choices.

Fleet Ambush: The only reason to ever to run this is if you know what fleet is opposing you in advance. Most fleets in the current meta, fleet ambush is actually to the advantage of the first player.
Advanced Gunnery: With your squishy ships, a death pickle might take first just for this. You will never be able to kill anything, most of your ships will melt at long range
Intel Sweep: Anyone with intel will steal this from you

Best bet would probably be to shift to non-token boring objectives ie Most Wanted,Solar corona, contested outpost

The actual fleet build is probably one of the better attempts at Sato I've seen. Your basic strategy is pretty obvious: get everything in range of the biggest threat on the board, activate sato, and pray. The problem is that anything you activate and fire with will be moving closer to something that can shoot at it.

Weakest matchup for this would probably be a sloane list. Depending on which Sloane ruling you use, your scatter aces and other squads will either be dead quickly, or very quickly. Flotilla's will also be difficult to handle.

sorry for the late response.

Thank you for the welcome and thank you for the feedback. I definitely need to rethink my objectives and I will also need to practice against sloane. I have really been back and forth about a couple of other parts of this list.

1. The choice of fleet command. I have been using Entrapment formation, but Shields to max seems like it would be very helpful for my squishy ships but I dont know if I shoudl switch.

2. The squadron choice. I’m pretty satisfied in this regard except for the lack of escort to protect jan. I am considering dropping the YT’s for Xwings but again, I’m still thinking through it.

Any more advice on these two things or the list in general would be greatly apprecieated from anyone. Thanks.
