Thought it might be fun to see what types of lists people are playing for fun these days. A chance to revel in others wins, and maybe learn a thing or two from thier loses. Not overly concerned with what people are running at tournaments, Lord knows we see enough of that, but so much more interested in what is being fielded on dining room tables. So post your most recent team, and maybe share a thought or two on how it did. What you thought went right, and what you might change the next time you field that team.
This is what I fielded on Saturday...
Baron of the Empire (x2) 58 Points
Push the Limit, Proton Rockets, Hull Upgrade, and Tie V/1
Zeta Leader 30 Points
Predator, Comm Relay, and Sheild Upgrade
Academy Pilot "Dogmeat" 12 Points
100 Points
All in all it was a fun game. It was a 3-way free for all with my son running two fully decked out B Wings (Nora and Farlander), and my best friend running two Star Vipers (Dalan and Thweek), and a Kihraxz Fighter (Talonbane).
The Star Vipers get MVP this game, as they were able to dance around quite a bit. Those banking barrel rolls are very handy. Talonbane was a complete nightmare as he always seemed to be in the right place at the right time, and 5 dice to the face hurts a little bit. Thweek took Farlander's pilot abilty.
The B-Wings went down first, and I believe my son learned a little lesson about the importance of min/maxing. Maybe there are those who won't agree with me, but I think 60 points is a little much for a B-Wing.
I lost the Barons first. The Proton Rockets were a mistake I think. With most of my green moves being 1 speed it was hard to get up close, and I had to sacrifice to much mobility to shake the stress from PTL. So I have replaced the rockets with Concussion Missiles and ditched the Hull upgrades for Twin Ion Engines. This also leaves me with a 2 point priority bid. Hindsight, right? "Dogmeat" was a champion as always. He didn't do much damage, but he took, and evaded, so many attacks that could have been thrown at the rest of my team. He went down 3rd, followed by Zeta. Scum didn't lose a single ship.
So... What ya playing?
