For the record, we think he's called 'Test Pilot Blackout' and he's PS7.
Probably EPT.
if I had to guess, probably something with Jam tokens, based on them being the New Thing this wave and the name.

There are no jam tokens in the spread...
Oh, true, yeah, scratch that.
Blackoutsuggests something that prevents enemy actions, prevents enemy attacks, or makes you harder to hit. Maybe something like a built in Sensor Jammer?

I know pilots don't get to choose their own callsigns, but that's really not the kind of moniker that inspires confidence in your wingmen.
Fits with RAC
He will have the "Move Silently" ability.

Heh.
WHenever you execute a red manoeuvre, take a Weapons Disabled token.
He can't handle the G force and blacks out.

Speaking of call signs that don't inspire confidence in your wingmen, I like to throw in an Academy Pilot on my team builds and call him "Dogmeat" much to the amusement of my son. Amazingly enough that little 12 point pilot tends to outlive my aces on more occasions then you would think. For that reason it's become a running joke.
... And now back to your regularly scheduled thread.
"The dark side is strong in me, for I am Sith."
Maybe he has to do with the three stress tokens in the spread.
Either that or that's for the new Tech (not A Optics)
It's a relatively text-light ability given the amount of white space - it appears less wordy even than Kylo's ability.
Wh[en] something something
Is At[tacking] something something
[One blurred character visible]
[No indication of a fourth line]
Which implies he helps your ships attack, because defensive buffs tend to be (but admittedly aren't exclusively) 'when [friendly target] is defending'.

'Threat Tracker' from the looks of it.
Small Ship Only.
Can't see anything else.
I know that some people think that it will be similar to Trick Shot, from the spread we can see by line:
I don't think that there's any other word in X-Wing beginning with "ob" that isn't related to obstacles and obstructing, and the "is" before it indicates that the word is either "obstructed" or "obstructing", so my guess is that it's probably something like "When attacking(defending), if the attack is obstructed you may [...]". Of course, exactly what happens when the attack is obstructed is important, but having that requirement to trigger his ability makes me think that he won't be a very competitive pilot.

I hope that you're right that it's an "at" and not an "ob" so that he can have a non obstruction-related pilot ability, but I can't see it no matter how hard I try ![]()
Someone theorised that his ability was Trick Shot plus, but that doesn't really fit with the name.

If so, it may work with the Debris EPT because you'll want to be near obstacles anyway.

As an avid player of both Carnor and Teroch, I'm still hoping for an awesome ability in another agile non-ps9 ship, perhaps something that shuts down target locks or rerolls in general (which would fit with the name), but like I said, from what's visible on the card I can't see it.

I'm really hoping for something amazing. I'm expecting something mediocre and overpriced because Imperials can't have nice things right now (or more accurately, Imperials only get balanced things right now, everyone else gets broken things).

Wh[osoever among your opponents]
is ob[stinately attacking you while]
[within the confines of your firing arc]
[must roll no more than one fewer]
[dice than otherwise allowed.]
'When attacking, if the attack is obstructed, you may (roll 2 additional dice) or (reroll up to 2 dice)' would both fit, and both match the wording on Trick Shot and the spacing pretty well. And would work with Advanced Sensors and PTL.
Roll 2 additional dice would fit best.
Edited by thespaceinvaderAs the the ability, yeah more rock hugging shenanigans.
But what the **** is that at the bottom, it almost looks like a symbol rather than letters, so what could it be. My first though though was the Hull symbol.
When attacking, if the attack is obstructed then critical hits are applied to hull to a maximum of one. or something. is this even possible?
it's a 2.

Well, in this case the silencer is already incredibly expensive being only two points "cheaper" than the defender (Steele and kylo cost the same, before titles, with a two or difference)
So it's roughly the same cost as the x7, but the x7 is VASTLY more durable due to it being an x7
So...hopefully the ps 7 is balanced with an incredible ability!
Or we can hope that it's like the Gunboat and the generics are WAY cheaper than the named pilots. In the Silencers case, where the ship seems so ps dependent, it'd make a lot of sense
Edited by ficklegreendiceWe can hope.
I doubt we can expect ![]()

That's what I heard. Bit daft if true.

Looking back at the release article it would fit, as noted. If so, it's not exactly the killer app I was hoping for, but it does offer some amusing options with Advanced Sensors, Primed Thrusters, and debris clouds.

Sit in the binder with all my other unused cards.
