As many other groups have done in the community, I’m experimenting with a patreon page. It hasn’t been advertised much so far, but it’s taken me a long time to decide to set one up. Think of it as a fire-and-forget way to support me. I made the contributions very lowball since:

-It won’t be a monthly contribution, but rather one that happens every MAJOR update. Reason is: Sometimes I release 2 minor module update per month, sometimes there’s a 2 month gap between updates.

-The contribution levels for now are at $1, $5 and $10. This should make it easy to become a patron.

-MAJOR being: a wave is fully in (I’ll count wave 12 and 13 as 1 wave), or a major feature becomes complete.

-Expect at least 2 major releases of the module per year, since there are 2 waves per year on average. Expect 1-3 major module features per year. So, if you contribute $1 per major release, that’ll cost you between 2$ and $5. If you contribute $5 per release, it’ll be $10 to $25 per year.

-When the autorange finder becomes complete, meaning, it’ll work with front aux arcs (Auzituck and Hounds’ Tooth), as well as mobile turret arcs (Lancer-Class Pursuit Craft), it will trigger

-Next big feature is a mouse driven graphical interface when you interact with ships; this will also trigger it

What do you get if you support me this way? Your name (if you opt in) will be publically visible in a Thank You list inside the module directly. When minimum goals are reached, I’ll do small and large ship raffles.

  • Autorange added for the back auxiliary firing arc – activate with CTRL-SHIFT-V
  • Not yet activated: front auxiliary arcs (YV-666 and Auzituck), mobile turret side shots (Lancer-Class Pursuit Craft) or Epic ship arcs.

Overlap manual detection, negative cases:

  • If you hit ALT-C on any ship, it already announced if it overlapped with a ship, mine or obstacle. Added: if it DOES NOT overlap, it will say so.
  • If you hit C on a movement template (such as the ones spawned during repositioning like barrel rolls or decloaks), it already announced if it overlaps with a mine or obstacle. Added: if it DOES NOT overlap, it will say so.

New shorcut for mobile turret (Lancer-class Pursuit Craft):

  • CTRL-F triggers the arc on the mobile turret indicator’s side (works for all 4 directions)
  • CTRL-V still also triggers the back arc (kept for legacy purposes)
  • CTRL-SHIFT-V no longer triggers the left side arc – this is instead the trigger to calculated autorange options for the back aux arc

Visuals:

  • Adapted ajmath’s method of making the overlap flash visuals visible for all (not just the player interacting with a piece) for the following cases:
    • Overlap event (for a template or the ship) during a ship repositioning (BR and decloak)
    • Manual check of a ship overlap (ALT-C) on an obstacle, ship or mine, and for a template overlap (C) on an obstacle or mine
    • Mine being dropped on a ship

Bugs dealt with:

  • Autospawn: the Lancer-class Pursuit Craft will no longer present abnormally large gaps around its ship piece when it is spawned

Autospawn:

  • Spawning a list with Extra Munitions will automatically place the ordnance tokens on ordnance upgrade cards
  • Spawning a list with Jabba the Hutt crew will automatically place the illicit tokens on illicit upgrade cards.
  • Spawning a list with the Hound’s Tooth title will provide a Z-95 of the correct stats (including pilot skill) as well as a Z-95 dial

Spawn crit token from damage card:

  • If you hit CTRL-T on a face down damage card, it will spawn a normal crit token on that card
  • If you hit CTRL-T on a faceup damage card, it will spawn a crit token with the name of the critical damage on it for easy reference on the map.

Visual tweak:

  • Target locks can now have Mirror Match colored dots (activated and cycled with CTRL-M) just like ships have always had

Bugs dealt with:

  • Auto-collision detection during repositioning (barrel rolls, decloaks) will no longer trigger when its side condition icons, or action icons were responsible for the overlap (these false positives have been removed). Only the basic shape of the ship (including front and back nubs) will be used.
  • Ship Reposition that leads to a ship going out of bounds (BR and decloak) will trigger a chat alert that it is out of bounds.

  • Allowed the following events to properly display visual cues for ALL players and observers, rather than simply the player triggering this event:
    • Post movement ship to ship overlap; ship to obstacle overlap, ship to mine overlap

Bugs dealt with

  • Dealt with the ‘oldstylereinforce’ error message that happened every time you open up the module

Looking forward to updating the module. Thanks!

One thing that keeps coming up is IWSYTDS is really ponderous to generate the specific crit (select whole deck, drag to player Observer, select the specific crit, select all, drag deck back to your player window)

If there could be a quicker way such as just highlighting your deck and getting option to select specific crit with an alert in the dialogue window to prevent abuse, it would really speed up the process.

HEADS UP: I need to release a hotfix later today

BUG 1: Forgot the side action icons today for the Star Wing (shift-a cycle, ctrl-a cycle, etc).

Workaround: just use the tokens that spawn during autospawn

BUG 2: If your Shadow Caster's mobile turret is facing away from front, you no longer have easy access to the front arc with CTRL-F, since it'll instead activate the mobile arc only

Workaround: re-rotate the mobile indicator to the front and activate the arc there

BUG 3: If you barrel roll into open space, ie, neither your final position overlaps with something, nor your BR template overlaps with something, the *OTHER* player won't see the ship move, while you, the acting barrel rolling player, will see the ship move
