Hey guys, one doubt that is killing me: when a figure with a surge: Gain "powertoken", like jarrod, the attack needs to do damage (like surge: conditions, blast, cleave) or it doesn't need at all (like surge: recover, +dmg, pierce)?

I'm not really sure as I've not read the rules on Gaining Power Tokens fully yet.
For me, Gaining Tokens is not the same as Triggering a Keyword.
As such, I would argue that you could use the Surge for a Power Token even if the attack misses or does no damage.
That said, I'm sure @a1bert will be a superior voice in this query.

The power token is gained immediately when the surge is spent.

No. The token would not be usable for the attack in which it is gained.
tokens can only be spent when declaring the attack. Not later.
Edited by MajushiYup. Step 1. Declare target (when the attacker and defender can each spend up to one power token) has already passed when you are at step 5. Spend surges.
I assume the attacker declares Power Token use first? Or is it in initiative order? Could be relevant for Ahsokas card.

Edited by MajushiDuring attacks all timing conflicts are resolved mission and core rules first (including conditions), attacker and friendly to attacker, defender and friendly to defender. (With modification for 4-player team skirmishm.)
