Ship silhouette tokens

By papy72, in X-Wing

So I have a few ships that came with a small cardboard token that is black with a white ship silhouette on it. What are these for?

They are designed to be used with the plastic faction-specific dial kits.

The dial upgrade kits come with the ship tokens for the first seven waves. Wave 8 and on, the token is included with each ship, so you want to hold on to those tokens if you are planning to purchase the dial upgrade kits. Most people, myself included, just buy a few kits for each faction as it is pretty simple to swap out the dial and token. Just give the token a little push and the dial comes apart.

I couldn’t figure out how to put the dials together. A fellow x-wing player (scum player) said she could do it for me. She charged me $10.00 for each dial.

They are also good when you are using rebel dials in a scum list to get another Z-95 or such. I am surprise FFG hasn't made dial faction a requirement after the dial upgrade kits. When they first proposed in in Wave 6 there was a backlash and rightfully so but now with the dial upgrade kits such a requirement isn't that gouging of a demand.

In the best traditions of a S & V player!

Edit: never mind, just realized post count and person.
