Fastest playing clan?

By Sixter, in Legend of the Five Rings: The Card Game

What are the clans that give you the quickest games?

I have been playing Scorpion and they definitely seem to give you longer games which is not want I want at the moment. Maybe its because Im playing defensively or the deck is built slightly defensive, but still.

I will probably keep playing Scorpion because they are cool, but might want to have an "aggro" clan as my 2nd deck. What could that clan be?

Dragon has been playing consistently fast for us.

I'm running Dragon and Scorpion, and I concur with both posts. Scorpion is slower, especially against Crane, while Dragon is often done turn 3.

Is Dragon faster than Lion?

A guy in my group plays Lion, and from our Dragon vs Lion matchups they seem pretty close in tempo.

Clans with keeper roles tend to be a little faster since they can get free characters into play. By maintaining your board presence you can generally win more conflicts and push for a stronghold break a little quicker.

Unicorn! The games are always fast, whether you lose fast or win fast, it's never on the long run!

If you want to play really good decks, the list looks probably like this:

Dragon (Unicorn)>Unicorn (Dragon, Crane)>Lion (Dragon)>Crane (Dragon, Unicorn)>Scorpion (Dragon)>Crab (Phoenix, Unicorn, Dragon)> Phoenix (Dragon, Scorpion)

Lion can play Unicorn or Crane to be faster, but imo you will have a weaker MU against other fast clans. Crane (Scorpion) and Scorpion (Crab) are good decks, but they are a lot slower than their mentioned counter part.

I've played a Lion (Unicorn) deck a few times and it's pretty fast, basically overwhelms your opponent with a lot of characters. Break a province in the first two turns, and my fastest game was over in turn 4.

I won a few games with uni and Lion in turn 2, thanks to Captive Audience and Charge.. Uni is the fastest with I am ready..

But this dont mean they are strong decks, is a risky strategy cause specially in Lion to do this you will not scout, and when everyone started to run rally to the cause I see my full MIL Rush decks going to trash..

This kind of decks can mess up a champ, but difficultly will win one.

I average 3-4 turn games with Crab and Phoenix.
