Seeking GM tips for reconciling the mandalorians sector

@Norr-Saba , one thing that needs to be clarified. It wasn't the Republic that devistated Mandalore. It was the Mandalorian people themselves through repeated clan warfare.

Why would you say that needs to be clarified

Because of what you said regarding the Republic in this post:

to start, i'm doing away with the fact that the entire planet is a desert, in part because i find it hard to believe that the republic would have been willing to commit that level of genocide under any circumstances , but also because it would complicate the narrative too much. <snip>

(Emphasis mine)

This suggests that you blame the Republic for devistating Mandalore in canon when this is not the case.

I’m curious where it says in the new canon that mandalorians destroyed the planet themselves, since in the wiki I found this when looking just now:

The Mandalorian Excision of 738 BBY —known to Mandalorian natives as the Dral'Han , or the Annihilation —was a brief but brutal conflict that saw the devastation of Mandalorian Space at the hands of the Galactic Republic . Following the Republic's enactment of the Ruusan Reformations in 1000 BBY , the Mandalorian people experienced a growth in technological prowess and military power, but they refused to join the Republic due to their traditional warrior ways. Alarmed by the rising threat of the Mandalorians, the Jedi Order organized the Republic's Judicial Forces and Planetary Security Forces in a preemptive strike on Mandalorian Space .”

surprisingly it lines up pretty well with what I came up with so I’m not understanding where the confusion is oroginating from, althoighnif it says different in the non-legends canon I would t be surprised

It was stated by Sabine in the Season four opener of Rebels just last week. She said that the planet was devastated by their own constant warfare amongst themselves. Put it simply, she said that they destroyed their own planet's ecosystem.

i really need to start watching rebels again, but i don't think this will be a problem for me since i'm not playing with a totally destroyed mandalore, and theres nothing to say that part of them destroying themselves was not incurring the wrath of the republic

After centuries of war, the once beautiful surface of Mandalore was reduced to an endless desert . [11] This event would cause many to turn their back on violence, giving rise to the New Mandalorians , who constructed and peacefully inhabited insulated bio-cube cities on their ruined homeworld . [5] Mandalore exiled their remaining warriors to their moon Concordia , where they were believed to have died out sometime later. [3]

Prior to the Trade Federation 's Invasion of Naboo , Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn and his Padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi spent a year on Mandalore protecting Duchess Satine Kryze during a civil war . The three were pursued by bounty hunters , and were constantly on the move. During this time, Kenobi and Kryze formed a romantic attachment. The war killed the majority of Mandalore's population. When the young Duchess returned, she was forced to rebuild her world without the Jedi 's assistance, as they were reassigned shortly after the conflict's end. [17]

Concord Dawn suffered even worse from these wars, with the entire southern hemisphere obliterated and turned into an asteroid field orbiting the planet.

I understand and I have read those articles already, however mine is supposed to be a combination of the two to allow my players to both enjoy the setting, so of course the entirely destroyed and post apacalyotic mandalore and mandalore sector would not be able to do that.

That's not a problem, As I originally posted, I was simply clarifying some information about the canon Mandalore that was contradictory to your previous post. How you choose to use that is up to you.
