I have no complaints about the Gunboat at all. I'm absolutely happy as can be with it and cannot wait to bring a small wing of them into an epic match. Rho squad is going to be so fun in epic... And I have plans for the named pilots in regular play.
Oh, and I have to get them an AI chart for HotAC because these make the best imperial reinforcements arriving...
Epic is a good point actually. For all that they're not goign to be up to much in standard play they're goign to be beastly in Epic where quality and quantity of generics is ore important than acehood.
And closing to attack range without getting smacked by range 4-5 epic ships is important...

They all do do one thing though: cost points.
Having any two ordnances with the same range profile is probably pointless, and paying for ordnance with different range profiles is questionable without some kind of points discount. Getting Harpoon and Cluster would be great, but it's superbly expensive.

100% agree. These ships aren't just about winning tournaments. Some of us just like to have prize-free fun.

Oh I don't know anything, it's just one of the iconic things from the games and in the artwork is the gunboat firing a Salvo of missiles, not just one at a time. It would certainly make large loadouts more effective

OK, so how do you suggest using all four slots without making it way too expensive?
It strikes me that if they charges for those slots, then they could have NOT charged for them, NOT put them on, and the ship would have worked just as well without them, with the exception of not being able to take Unguided Rockets. But 4 points for UGR that you can only fire after SLAMMing if you wasted an action getting a lock somewhere or took LRS instead of ASLAM...

They don't charge for slots, they charge for the interaction with wep disabled tokens that allow abuse of reload and SLAM (and both)
The extra slots are basically superfluous as of now, but UG may be a precursor to other upgrades possibly some that aren't even 2ndary weapons (such as seismic Torps, EM or chardian refit)
The slots are there for the sake of customization, not because you have to fill them

I hope they'll be useful at some point.
But I'd disagree that they're not factored into the points value. FFG like making people pay unnecessarily for slots, it's why the TIE Bomber and TIE Punisher are mediocre and godawful respectively.

they really aren't and havn't been since the A-wing and Advance
FFG just doesn't seem to know what the **** they're doing sometimes (contrast punisher with Jm5k), but in the case of the boat we at least know you aren't just paying for slots as you are getting an actual benefit out of it (SLAM functionality)
if you think of OS-1 ordnance like a cannon (which it kind of is thanks to reload allowing infinite shots and OG-1 allowing you to shoot through weps disabled) the pricing makes sense. If you compare OS-1 + Homing Missile to HLC, you're trading action flexibility (requiring target-lock) for maneuverability (SLAM)
Though I also personally think UG is not a good idea on boats because its focus requirement is at odds with OG's TL requirement. Otherwise, it'd be a fair contrast with mangler

Hey don’t forget, we need some more cards like Snapshot and Hotshot Blaster for the traditionally non-Weapon upgrades. System and modification would be obvious, and crew could be justified as a secondary, but what about Mechs? Tech would also need one. I really don’t see a title being secondary but who knows. And lastly would anyone want to see a Bomb secondary weapon?
I'm glad we've go it, it will be fun to play. Seems to me you could run a tooled up pair of these with a pair of Tie Strikers. Pumping out missiles or shooty mc shooty cannon shots. If your lucky you give the Falcon a quick kicking then have a good dog fight with the remaining fighters and your doing with a cool looking Imperial ship. What else do you guys want?

Secondary weapon titles would be a neat way to do the ships that have a specific add-on mod to their weapons, like something that uses Ion or Tractor beams where the stock model uses regular pew pews. Something like Shadow Caster could have been a secondary weapon for instance.
