So on table top simulator, if you bring a fleet with duplicate ships, for example two cr90As, how do you mark them?
Help
The only person I know of who plays TTS-- @Brikhause ?
Best way I know if currently Is to mess around with the paint tool on the left side and paint the top of the base, and in front of the surface their corresponding card is resting on. You can change the colors and do this.
Ok thanks, i didnt know if there was tokens or anything. ?
You can also rename a ship +/- its corresponding ship card. Off memory, right click the ship/card to open its menu, then click on its name to start editing it. Do this after you have finished spawning ships/shields otherwise it seems to make this code for this stop working. Thus rename the card after you spawn the ship, then rename the ship after you deploy it and have added its shields.

step 1: If you right click the ships, you should get a menu and down near the bottom is the ship name. Click this and modify the ship name of the model. For example, CR90A-1. Leave the card names unchanged.
Step 2: Take the pencil/paint tool and draw a number next to your duplicate ship cards to correspond to the model.
Step 3: if you have duplicate ship models with different gear, open the color wheel and choose a unique color for specific gear sets. For example, I typically mark my comms net Gozantis with red. I did the same on the table, with unique paint schemes to indicate a dedicated role between similar ships. When I pay with my 4 Gozanti swarm list, my opponent can tell at a glance which ships have comms net and which have other items.

TTS is much better for transferring useful skills to an actual table. Which is appropriate given the name. In addition to that, there are vey useful systems in TTS for players who cannot easily remember or use certain shortcuts.
Also, I found a community of very talented players that can't or don't like to use vassal.
Serious players should use both, if they can.
