So I had a nightmare about Last Jedi last night....

By KungFuFerret, in Star Wars: Force and Destiny RPG

I was at the theater watching it on release with some friends, only it wasn't live action stuff, and it was instead, the in-game level graphics for the cutscenes in The Old Republic video game. There was no inclusion of Luke training Rey at all, and I remember griping to my friends about "The trailer was such a huge liar! They cut out so much stuff!" And, the movie literally morphed into an interactive game that I had to play to "finish" the movie. It became a dance beat matching game for some reason (I have no idea why, I don't play those). And the end of the movie, was a very lame cutscene that didn't really explain anything (or if it did, I don't recall details upon waking). But it said "Congratulations! You have unlocked a new lightsaber hilt for your Jedi characters in Old Republic! Log in to receive your reward!"

To which I screamed "But I haven't played that game in years! This movie sucks!!" And then we rioted.

Basically, yeah it was kind of nuts. But I think my brain was projecting the idea of it becoming ruined by it turning into some multi-platform entertainment thing, instead of you know, just a freaking movie that told a story.

So yeah....that happened. <_<

This is why we don't entrust EA with the Star Wars movies. ;)

Pink Lemonade is all I had. :P

I have fairly vivid/weird dreams, always have. This one was just so specifically Star Warsy, I thought it bore mentioning. :D

I remember having a SW dream last night...I think Chewie was sad and no one could figure out why. :(

The inclusion of the SWTOR stuff was what I found most frightening. I found that game to be the most linear, poorly thought out MMO. I was sooo disappointed by that game. I have a permanent chip on my shoulder against it. EA and BIOWARE suck.

I dislike that game to, but more because of how they handled the Exile and Revan. Mostly the Exile though.

I wish "The Force Awakens" had just been a bad dream, but alas. . .

Huh the best day dream I had was the revelation that following a Dr who crossover resulted in one character ending up stuck in the tail end of the clone wars eventually managing to warn the Jedi about Order 66 but was all but ignored.

However because of the interference one of Mace Windu's former Padawans paid attention enough that she was able to give her Padawan the time necessary to escape thereby resulting in Star Wars Rebels which is why there was no mention of any surviving Jedi in the OT!

Wish I had dreams that vivid!?

I was looking for a world to inhabit, not a linear maze crawl with as much simplification as you can possibly do in an MMORPG. I think they eventually got rid of the stats and your character has like one stat. Terrible.
