Dengar + Talonbane

Gonna try this list. Any thoughts? I figure with them both coming out at PS 11 it will allow them to at least get the drop on some of the lists that depend on repositioning like miranda/nym. Has a decent potential for alpha strike at range three, and in the first rounds of engagement i can pop glitterstim/countermeasures and hopefully use it to take out at least one ship on the other side, then run away and regroup.

I don't think Stealth Device is worth taking on Talonbane. 2 > 3 isn't as good as 3 > 4, even if mathematically its a larger increase. Do not rely on green dice alone.

Perhaps not. But a couple things to keep in mind... first im only paying 2 points for it, not 3. Second if i am being shot at range 3 with a primary weapon i will actually get 5 green dice. Sure, it is fickle and i shouldnt rely on it but in some situations that can win me games. Also, i had a little trouble rejiggering the list and a lot of the slots the choices seemed pretty optimal... I need to take VI, im pretty convinced about glitterstim... i guess i could rearrange the modifications so that i was also taking an engine upgrade, but that seems like it might be unnecessary when i already have vectored thrusters and i'm only ever going to get one action.

maybe its worth spending the last point and throwing hull upgrade AND shield upgrade on there? haha, it sounds crazy but with the discount it might not be so bad.

Why not go Engine Upgrade, AT and drop down to Concussion Missiles. Also why Proton Torps over Plasma? Doing both gives you a 2pt bid....

thats a good idea, i like the AT+ EU combo. The reasoning behind the torps and the homing missiles is their built in action efficiency, in hopes that i can use the homing missile to strip off some shields and then use the torps to send through a crit or two (and its slightly more efficient with extra munitions to buy a Proton) but i guess that's one of those things i might change depending on the meta, if it turns out there are a lot of other PS 11 lists out there the point bid comes into play...

I'd go Harpoon over Concussion. Tag people with Talonbane, then have Dengar use his Protons to trigger the condition.

I'm convinced. that would also put the fear of god into some formation-flying lists.
