Music to lose to

By Ersatz Nihilist, in Legend of the Five Rings: The Card Game

I say lose because I'm pretty terrible and the only game I've won so far is at the pub when there wasn't any music playing.

Currently, I'm enjoying playing with the Bladerunner 2049 soundtrack on in the background, which is pretty good except for the occasional burst in Elvis.

Depends on what clan I'm playing...........

Crane: Milli Vanilli, Blame it on the Crane

Crab: Pink Floyd, The Wall

Dragon: Enter the Dragon Soundtrack

Lion: Hakuna Matata

Phoenix: Billy Joel, We didn't start the fire

Scorpion: Shaggy, It wasn't me

Unicorn: Genuine, Pony

I just spat tea all over my keyboard you scumbag.

As if there were any question....

Nujabes

DJ Okawari

Kyo Itachi (Love Mugen, Love Mugen 2: Dream & Existence, Mugen Swords(Reissue))

Ta-Ku (Beat Sketches Vol 1)

Various Artists (Tribute to Jun 1 & 2 (Nujabes tribute)

Reki (Whispers (Reissue)

Lion has to be Mumford and Sons..."Tremble little Lion man, you'll never settle any of your scores".

It has an extremely sing-along chorus too :)

When losing, it is highly recommending to become withdrawn into a song that makes you cry. So your defeat stays fresh as the tears running down your cheek.

This is done with great respect and deference to the originator Ishi Tonu (great idea):

Crane - The Bird is the Word

Crab - Another One Bites The Dust - Queen

Dragon - Kung Foo Fighting - Wu Tang Clan

Lion - The Lion Sleeps Tonight - Nylons

Phoenix - I See Fire - Ed Sheeran

Scorpion - Somebody's Eyes - Hall & Oats

Unicorn - Horse With No Name - America

Crane: The Politics of Dancing - Re-Flex

Crab: The Bear and the Maiden Fair - The Hold Steady

Dragon: Kung Fu Fighting - Kung Fu Panda Soundtrack ft Jack Black

Lion: The Imperial Guard Song - https://youtu.be/HJNz2QgSNsk

Phoenix: Through the Fire and Flames - Dragonforce

Scorpion: Betrayal - Lita Ford

Unicorn: Ready to Die - Andrew W.K.

Shoutouts to Nujabes and Taku. My ninja! 50 Days for Dilla is one I keep coming back to.

Ive recently discovered this youtube channel I'll try and remember to link to later. Its called JeffMusic, and it's honest to goodness amazing orchestral that feels perfect to play this game to. I'll like some later. If you've ever seen Brian Kibler play HS on YouTube you've probably heard it.

I use everything from the Samurai Champloo OST, which include artists as:

- DJ Tsutchie

- Force of Nature

- Nujabes

- Fat Jon

And some colaborations from others, like MINMI, Suiken and S-Word

"Mado Kara Mieru" from Christopher Tin's album Calling All Dawns has always struck me as a fine refrain for the setting as a whole, especially with the new design that emphasizes the everpresent change in Eastern philosophy.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. The only Unicorn music is This.

I always thought it was this one.

Fair play, but in that case we should also have this on the playlist.

Hah, Father Ted,

Wu Tang Clan, clearly.
