There are multiple casual store tourneys being held in Melbourne, Aus for the release of Guns for Hire on Oct 26th, not sure about other cities. But looking at other replies, looks like Oct 26th is the day.

This is pretty much exactly when I predicted. Same week as HotR came out last year, after a similarly long and anxious wait, and a similar amount of false-start releases.

The only major difference being when the wave came out before it, meaning that it was spoiled at GenCon rather than the wave which came out after GenCon last year butbefore it this year..

Newbie question - do folks think GfH will affect Regionals season?

I plan on going to my first Regionals in Decemeber, and was curious if we'll see a big shift in builds after this drops. (guessing Wave 12 won't hit stores before Dec 16th)

Most likely. People will play harpon missiles, probably some Vaksai, maybe even some will play some Starvipers!

You will see Thweek at Regionals. I absolutely guarantee it.

My read is that it will be present a lot, but the makeup of the top tables won't be significantly affected by it; the only major impact will be Harpoon Missiles replacing Cruise Missiles anyplace they're currently used, and the associated minor debuff to Biggs-based rebel squads.

E: assuming it's not immediately followed by major errata in an FAQ of course, in which case it's anyone's guess depending on what that looks like.

FWIW I've tested Thweek both playing and playing against, and aside from one particular match where him copying my Palob basically invalidated my Guri's ability, he was mostly useless. Sure, he gets a pilot ability - but one a mediocre chassis with low PS - or sure, he gets PS - but with only one action plus FCS he's either not hitting that hard or not living that long, especially in a turret and bomb meta.

Not tested Jostero yet though.
