Harpoon Missiles and Selflessness Question

By Favoritism Flight Games, in X-Wing Rules Questions

Say I shoot a Harpoon Missile at Biggs with a Lowhrick nearby with Selflessness EPT. Lowhrick can discard Selflessness to take the uncancelled <hits>, but where does the Harpooned! condition go?

My gut says it goes on Biggs because he is the one that was actually 'hit' by the attack.

What's everyone's thoughts on how Harpoon Missile will interact with Unfairship Rebels?

Harpoon Missile says assign the condition to the defender. Biggs is the defender.

If an attack by Harpoon Missiles hits, it doesn't matter if a ship with Selflessness sucks away some of the damage, it still won't change the fact that the original target was hit . And because it was hit, the Harpooned! condition card is still assigned to the defender.

Both cards (Selflessness and Harpooned!) trigger after establishing if the defender was hit.

Also worth mentioning the same reasoning applies to things like Ion or Tractor Beam effects - the original target ship is still the one hit, even if another effect pulls all the damage from it. Likewise, any ship that pulls damage from a friendly isn't hit so doesn't suffer the above effects.
