Post Your Result Here - World Cup Qualifiers
@Irishmadcat vs Ghost ends in a 9-2 victory for Irish. We played his Most Wanted, and I was, sadly, tabled due to Leading Shots and poor planning.
CNinja (2nd) vs. Undeadguy (1st)
Contested Outpost
9-2 for CNinja.
Undead's Sato slinging Defiance came in hot against Leia's Neb B gunline. The Nebs stripped Defiance down fast. Sato's fleet took down Leia's command ship, a Neb, and my Tycho/Shara.
I got Defiance and his two HH'sWe called it after four when it was clear I'd most likely get the two flots too.
Maturin vs. Darth Veggie ended with
80 to 415
119-415 in my favour (MoV
1-10
2-9).
Kudos to Maturin for being a great sport and one of the most pleasant people I have played with. Thank you for the game!

And you as well DV! Much fun was had...and we even had a @Green Knight sighting! But despite a temporary pause in hostilities as our combined fleets turned to chase him down.......he managed to slip away. Darn that slippery GK! ;D
Well, I struck after the pirate, and alas Dodonna's fleet was tabled! Motti proved too strong for him. That is largely the reason why Dodonna was so anxious for his death in Episode 4 - forget saving Yavin IV, he had a personal bone to pick the Moff.
I flew a double HMC80 fleet, and I must say, against 2 GSDs and an ISD-II, ET isn't a nice thing to have if your intent is to punish those hiding in your front arc. Also, Defiance was never used.
Ah well, I must fly it again some time.

Poor defiance was in a difficult spot from the start I think. Could not get the extra dice, and without ackbar that side arc isn't so scary, even with home one.

He might frequent the same area tomorrow...with the same or a very different fleet...

Indeed. I'd have to lose a flotilla, or a couple of upgrades, but I think adding Ackbar shall be the next iteration of the list.
@rasproteus Vs Dr Alex (who is not doing this for fun)
played rasps’ solar corona. Rasp had an Ackbar Doom pickle, admo and some flotillas with a wing cover. I had Leia in salvation and some scout hh’s with b-wings for comedy value.
i lost 282-0 so a 9-2 to Rasp.
i have set things up perfectly for my 9-2, 10-1 qualifying run next
Updated through this point.
Played one against rasproteus today,
98/268 170 MOV 8/3 win to me.
Can @SkyCake and I use our salon des perdants game for this?
Veggie vs LTD ended with 9-2 in my favour. Dodonna on Yavaris faced, Jendon, Marek and Demolisher in round 2 - with devastating consequences. And then the Flechette raider achieved in round 3 what I thought one can merely find on the drawing board of Flechette raider use. The rest is history...

The mustached man says he won't stop you
Well, if the salon games count, I got a 6-5 vs. Irishmadcat.
In which case my aim for blackjack continues with a 10-1 against @SkyCake in the salon. Ackbar beats Thrawn, Thrawn May set perfect traps but Ackbar’s squiddy senses let him spot them in advance..,
Wait, then did I have a loss against me already in the qualifier? Because flying somebody else's list in a 225 point tourney for fun ain't exactly what I'd had in mind in order to qualify... Furthermore, using the match as a qualifier wasn't even discussed until after the match. ?
Edited by SkyCakeFair enough, my misinterpretation. I thought you said ‘I don’t know if we can check’ (or words to that effect) as check if we can. I’m not into Jon-consensual stuff, so strike that one
Firstly let me say I'm happy for the result against @moodswing5537 to count. He would have beaten me at 225 or 400 or 129388472 points on the night. He was the better player.
However @BiggsIRL can I suggest a rule going forward that qualifier matches be called out in advance in the thread so both players know what they are getting into in a game. But Irish you might say the more games the btter chance for a player. Thats all well and good but it may mess with peoples personal goals for this. They might want to see how few matches they can qualify in or qualify with the best record they can etc. This ensure misunderstanding over stupid **** is reduced and we all know what happens when wargamers misunderstand each other.
I most certainly agree with @Irishmadcat . I didn't even think about the implications it might have. I'm actually good with them counting or not counting, but both players should agree on it ahead of time. If we need to, I am good with striking the 225 match I mentioned. I can completely see @SkyCake 's reasoning here. Again, I apologize for the monkey wrench, and good gaming going forward!

Let our result stand. 1 more game closer to 6
It should go without saying you need to both agree the game counts before playing it.
Too late, I'm pretty sure I've racked up enough 7+ pointers in the last 2 years to qualify. Guess you should be a little more rigorous in writing up your rules next time there, mustache man.
