Now that the Goblin Sneak is leaked, I was wondering if you all think there will be mythical creatures added. Like dragons, unicorns, pegasus, etc.

Edit: Serious note, Dragons yes, Unis and Pegai, no. We'll probably only see supernatural/mythical creatures that are tied to east asia.

Based on AEG's version of the game, and hints from the recent stories, I think Naga are a pretty solid bet at this point. The elemental dragons seem highly likely as well. Unicorns and pegasi are too western for this setting, and seem highly unlikely. Other Asian creatures that have made appearances in the past are kenku, ogres (OK, not particularly Asian there...), and some invented for the game like zokujin and Nezumi. So yes, we will likely see some mythical creatures

Well, Ogre is just an Oni by a more western name, like goblins. Big Creatures with big beat sticks.

I wouldn’t rule unicorns out entirely. The Unicorn clan lore used to be that they encountered some on their travels, I believe. They could still have one around, or could go out of the empire again to find one for whatever reason.

Check out Japanese Mythology for some possibilities, or just go digging through old L5R Cards.
We will have already seen Nezumi (Rattlings/Rat People), Oni (Demons), Ogres, Trolls, Goblins (Not quite western goblins, but similar) referenced in the stories and cards. Dragons are definitely a thing, though asian dragons not european ones. Looking in the RPG preview we also see Rakshasa (Evil Tiger people?), Ningyo (Fish People), Kenku (Bird People) and Naga (Snake People). We could also see the Tsuno/Kitsu (Evil/Good Lion People) and The zokujin (I'm not sure what they are supposed to be, besides earth aspected). Also, the Undead are definitely a thing, so expect Zombies of some form (though wearing white masks). Oorochi (Sea Lizards) probably will make a comeback since they are cool.
The old L5R incorporated a lot of the various more interesting Asian mythological monsters for fun and profit, and given that this is a Magical Samurai game, this will definitely be a thing.
Here is hoping we get another undead whale.
Kappa, bog hags, shapechangers, and onikage- kinda like undead horse demons, also appeared in AEG'S L5R
Forgot the Kitsune, (shape-shifting foxes) and Tanuki (Shape-shifting raccoons).

I just want the family back.

Wait a second, you mean to tell me this had shape-shifting trash pandas!? Yeah, those have GOT to come back!

Given they kept the Toritaka, the Kitsune will most likely be back. I expect we will see all of the original minor clans at the very least. Not sure about Monkey though.

They never got front and center, and I think they only got included because one particular game store went hardcore to try and win the "name a card" events sort of thing to get them included.
Also, I feel like calling raccoons trash-pandas is a disservice to pandas.

I hope they stay a minor clan, so I can just keep splashing them into whatever deck I have. I love the Kitsune.
I do not understand why any Great Clan of Rokugan would have Goblin in his deckS. Thematically speaking is really weird to me, this bothers me deeply

As it should!
But if it is a good card, you might still run it!

YES! I want teenage mutant ninja kappa.
And I'll be the first to put forth the "May we have a dog card, that we might corrupt him one day?"

You missed out on the original storyline, then. When the Crab signed a treaty with the Shadowlands and had more corrupt than non-corrupt characters for a while. Or when the Lion and Phoenix both had a ton of corrupt characters.
I honestly wonder how long it'll be before we start seeing "Corrupt" as a keyword, with a playable Shadowlands stronghold.

Only the defeated need explain their behavior. Victory is its own excuse.
That is entirely within the theming of Rokugan, and it is something every Great Clan knows, even if none (even the Scorpion) would say so out loud.
I'm looking forward to the kitsune myself. Does anyone know if any of the main clans had any particular affinity for bakemono such as kitsune? (I'm guessing Dragon and Phoenix strike me as the strongest candidates, but up to now I've only had minor knowledge of the L5R universe.)

Kitsune have appeared in the story in the past. First a slight digression, within L5R, bakemono is usually reserved for creatures touched by the shadowlands, not all non-humans. Kitsune do not fall under that category.
Most kitsune fell under the Mantis, who absorbed the Kitsune family as one of their families. The Kistune were descended from actual kitsune, and some members of the family still were fox spirits. An earlier example occurred with Doji Hoturi's wife, who was a kitsune (I believe unknown to Hoturi, but wouldn't swear to that. Certainly didn't stop him from fooling around with Kachiko.) I recall one other story where a Scorpion was married to a kitsune, but cannot remember his name, and a quick glance through the archives didn't find it - it was a good story though, a mini-romance and nicely told.

Shut up, Rikako. Don't talk that way about my Good Lint Boys.
It's a "new" take on the universe so many clans could have ties to certain creatures. I suspect it will based more on individuals rather than the clans themselves at the beginning.
Need some Kenku though!

Good to know. I was using bakemono in the Japanese sense, but I'll have to try and keep in mind that L5R language isn't necessarily the same as Japanese (even if the former is heavily inspired by the latter).
Given that the Mantis themselves aren't classed as a major clan in this game (yet?), would I be right in thinking that they didn't have any particular attachments to one clan over another out of the clans we do have so far?
Here's some non-human intelligent creatures that were in the original version of L5R. Some of them, at least , will certainly show up eventually in this version of the game:
The Naga: They have serpent bodies from the waist down. The Naga had their own huge empire many centuries or millennia before humans arrived. They periodically go into a deep slumber that can last anywhere from decades to several centuries. Naga have a 'group soul' of a sort they call The Akasha. In the original story, they were starting to awaken when they were discovered by Mirumoto Daini. He ended up marrying Naga and they even had a child (yeah, I know, weird).
Naga were a full 'clan' for a long time in the original L5R. In fact, they had a stronghold before Scorpion (due to Scorpion being officially 'destroyed' in the story when the original game launched). They went away a while before the end of old L5R, were going to return as a full faction in the next set...that never got released, as AEG sold the L5R IP to FFG.
The Naga will probably appear in this new version of L5R at some point. The new Unicorn story has them (and the Falcon clan) tracking a mysterious creature that many of us think might very well turn out to be a Naga.
