AGOT - Computer Game (?)

By Adornis23, in A Game of Thrones: The Board Game (1st Edition)

Hello everyone,

I am wondering how great an AGOT (or ASOIAF) computer game would be. This could be a fan-made java-game design just like the board game or a big professional production, which would surely rock the house. I could imagine many many options, varieties, adventure elements, etc.. Maybe also a MMORPG.

Has anyone suggestions which PC games go in that direction? Are there some fan made projects somewhere on the net?

I know Defender of the Crown, Medieval: Total War or the Stronghold series as comparable titles. But there have to be more especially in the strategy or maybe even adventure/rpg genre, which might be able to reach the dense atmosphere of this world.

Anyway, FFG could surely use its license on this to produce a very, very big hit. ;)

There is actually a mod for "Medieval 2: Total War" called "Westeros: Total War". I do not own Medieval 2 but it may be worth a try for those who do.

Furthermore I see my expectations about FFG owning the AGOT license recently fulfilled. Why bother about stupid computer games, when you can have fun with your friends desparating about your nice miniature troops on a real table. See Battles of Westeros! FFG walks the line straight and gives us more Westeros in their original field of profession: Board Games ... aplauso.gif This will be fun.

I'm pretty sure there was a Civ map based on Westeros too.

The rights have been sold and it is being made. Google it. ;)

m and my matesare currently working on a game of thrones game as part of a uni project it involves a board and a video game :)

I tried to Google it and didn't get anything. Care to give us a direct reference?

An RTS and an RPG? Bummer for me. Oh well, thanks for those links!

Thanks a lot for the links. Just what I was looking for.
