An exciting game from start to finish, end result was a 266-73 victory for myself, so an 8/3.

I think that puts me at 23 points.

@Thrindal vs @Viktor Tanek has begun. I am 1st playing his Fleet ambush. This could be a super short match.

Greg vs. Mhd resulted in a advanced gunnery battle of the space pickles, with Ackbar (Greg, 1st) against the invincible Garm bel Iblis (mhd). Ackbar rose the white flag of surrender in frustration on turn 5 after rolling 5 blanks and the pitiful Pelta he was slumming on was facing a double side shot at point blank range and certain destruction.

At the time of surrender, Garms fleet "Pown all the tokens" had suffered no casualties. Greg had lost a trc90, a flotilla, gold squadron, and tycho. So... 8-2 or so to me, depending on the terms of surrender.

@DoubleDown217 and I are planning to play a qualifier tonight, starting at about 8:45pm, Chicago time. I’m hoping to stream it, so feel free to come distract me on Twitch .

Spur of the moment game. He brought Ackbar with a Battlecruiser, Pelta, Yavaris, GR75, and a pair of A-wings. In the interest of not making him wait while I put together a whole new fleet, I have the trusty old Mothma MC30 swarm.

Ard vs Greg is 10-1 to me, 382 MoV.

That pimped out Liberty is terrifying. An XI7/MK/EA/Ackbar/GT Liberty just has no good approach vectors. I'm also seriously considering the value of Walex on there. Not sure how much value he gives in other matchups, but he did some serious work in mitigating my MC30 fire. Between Walex and the healbot Pelta, that **** Liberty ate something like 8 or 9 close-range MC30 shots, it was just ridiculous.

The game was really tight all the way up to the opening of round 4. First activation, the Landmothmonitionstrosity did what it do: from full shields but at only 2 hull, it Lando'd a full-on MK/XI7 Liberty front arc at close range to 5 damage, Admo'd off another, and redirected one off with none going through to the hull. Then my forking MC30 in the backfield got just the rolls I needed to pop both Greg's Salvation and his A-wing-pushing flotilla out the side arcs, cutting his activations in half and wiping out both of his follow-ups that could've helped finish off the wounded Mothma. Those two activations really swung the game, and it was all downhill from there.

Sounds like an awesome battle, but I'm biased. I love seeing Mommy Mothma doin work! But I also love terrifying Liberties. Gives me hope that I can one day figure out that **** ship.
