I dislike deadeye....so....VI ?

Why don't you like deadeye? It's amazing at getting your ordinance off, especially on low to mid PS ships.

Once the missiles are gone, I kinda like the idea of pilot skill 7 ships....am I just being silly? I'm unsure....

Normally, the jump from 5 to 7 isn't that big a deal unless you see a lot of Glaive defenders around or Asajj. Deadeye is probably the better upgrade for missile k fighters. That, or equip one of the team with tracers to give everyone a TL. It should have a decent chance of hitting, given the fact that there are rather few high performing 3 agility ships right now. Though if going the tracers route, I'd be more partial to using crack shot over VI for the team, as again the jump from PS 5 to 7 doesn't often matter a great deal.

I see that.. .hmmm I guess I want the jump from 5 to 7 to be good. My feeling is 7 should be high enough to effectively use cruise missiles....or am I just fooling myself?

Sorry to say, yeah, kinda. Especially since most of the major threats are higher than PS 7 anyway.

The only major thing in the current meta that PS7 gets you is moving after Biggs and Lowhhrick. Not really that useful without your own repositioning, certainly not moreso than Deadeye.
