Yeah, I think it's just that there's a hatch that closes over the AT-AT's head once it's in place. Probably to keep a stray shot from taking out the command module during a hot landing.

Yeah I can see it know, Just on first look thought it was showing to much shoulder for it to be the front

Judging by the image, the head slot is on the ship's bottom.

Try again. The shot showing the opening for the head is from below. It pulls the at-at up into it. So it is covered from above.

So it lands atop of it?

Yes, I saw that. But the cover above the head looks like a grille or something, which is why I theorized that it might open or detach in some way.

I think that's just a greeble. The raised bits on either side make it look like the intake for something related to ship operations rather than the AT-AT. Atmospheric turbines, perhaps?

Yep.it's basically a drop ship. We see a similar vehicle used to deploy AT-TEs during the Battle of Geonosis.
