HI, FIRST TIME ON HERE AND JUST ASKING WITH THE NEW RULES BEEN PRINTED, DOES THIS MEAN A NEW BOX SET AS WELL. WANT TO BUY IT BUT IF A NEW ONE IS COMING OUT SHOULD I WAIT? IF SOMEONE COULD ANSWER THANKYOU.
NEW RULES
Statement from FFG so far has been:
* old boxes will be fully compatible with the new rules, all your counters etc will still be useable.
FYI - I am considering buying Novgorod Expansion (based on old rules) even still as the new rules should be fine and there should be no loss of value. In addition to downloadable new rulebook there is also talk of a new rulebook (book only) available for purchasing.
Really getting impatient for them new rules...
With all the things that FFG is doing (Warhammer, the new play center, that Westeros...thing, I'm not sure where the rules revision is on their plate.
I'm sad. My friends and I are waiting on these rules.
I'm sure all new printings after the new rules are released will contain the new rulebook, however, our understanding to date is that everything else will be the same. The rulebook itself will be available online for download and for purchase separately for those of us who already have the old version, so we won't need to repurchase the whole game.
So if you want to buy it and play it using the old rules while you wait, go right ahead. =)
I wonder if the announced US/English Daedalus is the product that will bear the 2.0 rules?
what do you tannhauser vets think?

I believe FFG has stated that they will be holding off on releasing Daedalus until the 2.0 rules are completed, so the answer to that is yes, but probably not in the way you're hoping.
Every new product is on hold until the V2 rules are released. This include all the ready-to-be-released former TOY products like Daedalus, Singles packs, Minotaur Mega Single Pack and Troop Pack. There no mention of reprinting the base set with the new rulebook however.
Are there any news about the release date of the new rules version ?
Nope. I guess that Tannhauser, despite being advertised as an intersting new IP is getting less screen time than some other brand. I think it's a shame as they have the potential to create a "modern" setting to compliment their already important fantasy setting of Terrinoth.
